RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Hawera Swimming Pool Loan 1969 ($50,000)

THE following resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Hawera Borough Council, held at the Council Chambers, High Street, Hawera, on the 18th day of August 1969:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hawera Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $50,000, authorised to be raised by the Hawera Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting part of the cost of constructing a swimming pool complex in King Edward Park, Waihi Road, Hawera, the said Hawera Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought seven eight (.078) of a cent in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Hawera (defined in New Zealand Gazette, 1960, No. 4, at page 68); and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 20th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being for a period of 25 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Electricity Loan 1969, $160,000—First Issue, $95,000

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $95,000 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending the Doon Street Substation building and purchasing and installing electrical equipment and supply cable for the first stage of a 33,000/11,000 V substation in Doon Street, and associated works, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought two four cents (.024c) in the dollar on the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

Development and Expansion Loan 1967, $400,000—Third Issue, $130,000

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $130,000 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing new intake and water-treatment facilities at Brannxholme and meeting ancillary costs, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought two two cents (.022c) in the dollar on the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $80,000 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing a new civic administration building, including flooring and work incidental thereto, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one four cents (.014c) in the dollar on the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $75,000 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting part of the cost of lengthening the runway and associated ancillary works, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one three cents (.013c) in the dollar on the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $100,000 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the construction and equipping of a new abattoir and associated works for Invercargill, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one eight cents (.018c) in the dollar on the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 30th day of September in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off.
