Revocation of the Reservation over a Reserve, Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How the Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised

———

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation for road purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and, further, declares that the said land may be disposed of by the Henderson Borough Council at current market value, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the Henderson Borough Council’s reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other public reserves under the control of the Council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for public reserves.

Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Hobson County Council

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for esplanade purposes; and, further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Citizens of the County of Hobson, in trust, for that purpose.

Reservation of Land and Declaration That Land be Part of the Kurow Domain

———

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for recreation purposes; and, further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, declares the said reserve to be a public domain, subject to the provisions of Part III of the last-mentioned Act, to form part of the Kurow Domain, to be administered as a public domain by the Domain Board.

Varying Notice of Declaration of State Highway

PURSUANT to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953, the National Roads Board, acting with the written approval of the Minister of Works, hereby gives notice that it varies the notice declaring public highways to be State highways, dated 9 March 1960, published in the Gazette, 24 March 1960, Vol. I, p. 384, by deleting from the Schedule to the said notice the paragraph described in the First Schedule hereto and substituting therefore the paragraph set out in the Second Schedule hereto.

No. 47 State Highway.

SECOND SCHEDULE

Paragraph substituted in North Island section of Part I of Schedule to said notice:

No. 47 State Highway (National Park - Turangi) commencing at its junction with No. 4 State Highway at National Park and proceeding thence via Taurewa to its junction with No. 1 State Highway at Rangipo Junction.

Amending a Notice Declaring State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

———

It is hereby notified that the notice dated the 29th day of July 1969 and published in New Zealand Gazette, 7 August 1969, No. 48, p. 1477, declaring that part of No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton to Woodville) from its junction with Mission Road to its junction with Pickwick Road, as is more particularly shown on plan M.O.W. 15466 and the accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works, Wanganui, to be a limited access road, is hereby amended by deleting therefrom the date “21 May 1969” and substituting therefor the date “21 July 1969”.

Election of Growers’ Representatives to the Tobacco Board

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Tobacco Growing Industry Act 1935, the Tobacco Growing Industry Amendment Act 1951, and the Tobacco Board Election Regulations 1952, regulation 14, I hereby give public notice that, there being only two nominations, I declare Richard Wheatley Staples Stevens and John Rowland Talbot to be elected to the office of growers’ representatives on the Tobacco Board, and to be members of the Board from the 24th day of September 1969.

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated:

Number and Title of Specification

D 115 Code of practice for riser mains for fire brigade use.

All persons who may be affected by this specification and who desire to comment thereon may, upon application, obtain copies on loan from the Standards Association of New Zealand, New Zealand Display Centre Building, Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 30 October 1969.
