His Excellency the Governor-General has, pursuant to the Navy Act 1954, approved the following appointments, promotions, and terminations of appointments in the Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve:
Lieutenant Commander G. W. Dunsford, RNZNVR, released (at own request), to date 13 March 1969.
Lieutenant Commander P. R. Lomas, VRD, RNZNVR, placed on Retired List of Officers, RNZNVR, to date 26 March 1969.
Lieutenant Commander R. N. Crouch, RNZNVR, transferred to the Emergency List of Officers, RNZNVR, to date 8 May 1969.
Surgeon Lieutenant W. S. Tongue, RNZNVR, placed on the Emergency List of Officers, RNZNVR, to date 1 April 1969.

Appointment of Temporary Magistrate
Pursuant to section 10 of the Magistrates' Courts Act 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint
Leslie Norman Ritchie, Esq.
of Gisborne, to be a Stipendiary Magistrate to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand, and to hold and exercise the duties of this office for a period from the 15th day of September 1969 to the 28th day of September 1969, both days inclusive.

Stipendiary Magistrate, to exercise jurisdiction in the Children’s Court established at Gisborne for the period from the 15th day of September 1969 to the 28th day of September 1969, both days inclusive.
