THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of three hundred and seven thousand dollars ($307,000) authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing basic services necessary to develop the new areas taken into the city in 1967 and associated work, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes a special rate of four hundred and sixty-four ten-thousandths of a cent (0.0464c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off.

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Clutha County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of sixty-seven thousand dollars ($67,000) authorised to be raised by the Clutha County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting part of the cost of installing a rural water-supply scheme, the said Clutha County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal two three five nine five (.23595) cents in the dollar upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the Pomahaka Water Supply Area, as constituted by special order made on 7 August 1968 and confirmed on 18 September 1968; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
