CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Christchurch District Drainage Act 1951,
and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is
hereby given that the Christchurch Drainage Board, a body
corporate constituted by the Christchurch District Drainage
Act 1951, proposes to execute a public work, namely, sludge
disposal, being part of the works for the disposal of sewage
from the Christchurch Drainage District, as defined by the
said Act; and, for the purpose of such public work, the lands
mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.
And notice is hereby further given that every person affected
shall set forth, in writing, any objection he may have or wish
to make to the execution of such works or to the taking of
such lands, not being an objection to the amount or payment
of compensation, and shall send such written objection, within
40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Secretary,
Christchurch Drainage Board, 233 Cambridge Terrace, Christ-
church. If any objection is so made a public hearing of the
objections will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires,
and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the
hearing.
SCHEDULE
All that piece of land situated in the City of Christchurch
containing 81 acres 23 perches, being Lots 1 and 5 and part of
Lot 2 on Deposited Plan No. 9714, Rural Section 438, and
part of Rural Sections 7574, 8195, 8229, and 8234, and being
the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of
title 6D, folio 180, Canterbury Registry. The said land is situated
in Dyers Road, south of 230 Dyers Road.

TAIHAPE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Taihape Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing charges on a loan of
three thousand dollars ($3,000) authorised to be raised by the
Taihape Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for
the completion of development of land for housing, the said
Taihape Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of
decimal nought one seven (.017) cents in the dollar upon the
rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of
Taihape; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency
of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.

INGLEWOOD BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Inglewood Borough Pensioners’ Flats Scheme Loan 1969,
$12,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Inglewood Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of $12,000 authorised to be raised by the Inglewood
Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956 for the purpose of erecting accommodation for old people,
the said Inglewood Borough Council hereby makes a special
rate of decimal one cent (.1c) in the dollar upon the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable
property in the Borough of Inglewood; and that such special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of
August in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.”

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
CERTIFIED copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the
Auckland City Council held on the 20th day of August 1969:
“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and
amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amend-
ment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers
thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby
resolves as follows:
“That for the purpose of providing interest and other charges
on a loan of eighty-seven thousand five hundred dollars
($87,500) to be known as the Redemption Loan No. 53, 1969,
$87,500, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auck-
land City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the
purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the General
Purpose Loan, 1956, $568,000, and the Works Loan, 1957,
$1,400,000, which mature on 1 October 1969, the said Auckland
City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of point
nought three seven five (.0375) in the dollar ($) on the rate-
able value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable

a loan of $22,000 authorised to be raised by the Inglewood
Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956
for the purpose of renewing and extending electrical reticula-
