Tariff and Development Board Notice No. 124—Inquiry into Import Duties and Import Licensing as Affecting Printing Machine Rollers (Other Than Printing Rollers) Made of Metal, Covered or Faced with Rubber or Polyurethane (ex Tariff Item 84.35.01)
- Following receipt by the Minister of Customs of a report from the Emergency Protection Authority, the Government has accepted the recommendation of the Authority that urgent action is necessary in relation to the importation of printing machine rollers (other than printing rollers) made of metal, covered or faced with rubber or polyurethane, classified in Tariff item 84.35.01 with the following rates of duty:

In accordance with the provisions of the Tariff and Development Board Act, the Minister of Customs has referred to the Board, for inquiry and report, the question of what permanent form of protection, if any, is necessary in respect of these goods. Pending such inquiry and report the goods will be retained under import control.

The Board will, in accordance with its normal procedures, conduct a public inquiry in the Boardroom, First Floor, Law Society Building, 26 Waring Taylor Street, Wellington, on Friday, 31 October 1969, commencing at 10.30 a.m.

Tariff and Development Board Notice No. 125—Public Inquiry into Import Duties and Import Licensing Affecting Canned Pineapple (ex Tariff Item 20.06.13)

The Tariff and Development Board has been requested by the Minister of Customs to inquire into and report on the rates of duty on canned pineapple, classified in Tariff item 20.06.13, and also on the question of import licensing as it affects these goods.

The Board will, in accordance with its normal procedures, conduct a public inquiry in the Boardroom, First Floor, Law Society Building, 26 Waring Taylor Street, Wellington, on Thursday, 13 November 1969, commencing at 10.30 a.m.

Price Order No. 2112 (Amendment No. 1 of Price Orders No. 2078, 2095, 2102, 2103, 2104, 2105, 2106, and 2111 (Oranges) and 2068 (Bananas))
PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act 1947, I, Clifford Ernest Beard, pursuant to a delegation from the Secretary of Industries and Commerce acting under a delegation from the Price Tribunal, hereby make the following order:

This order may be cited as Price Order No. 2112 and shall be read in conjunction with and deemed part of Price Orders No. 2068, 2078, 2095, 2102, 2103, 2104, 2105, 2106, and 2111.

This order shall come into force on the 22nd day of August 1969.

Price Orders No. 2068, 2078, 2095, 2102, 2104, 2105, 2106, and 2111 are amended by inserting the word “Masterton” between the words “Hastings” and “Blenheim” in section (a) of subclause (1) of clause 5 of each of the said price orders.

Reserve Bank of New Zealand
PURSUANT to section 33 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1964, the Reserve Bank, acting with the approval of the Minister of Finance, hereby gives notice that, as at the close of business on 15 August 1969, and until further notice, balances to be maintained in the Reserve Bank by each trading bank shall be equal to an amount which, when added to that bank’s holdings of Reserve Bank notes, as disclosed in that bank’s latest available weekly return of Banking Statistics under the Statistics Act 1955, will be not less than the aggregate of:
12 percent of that bank’s demand deposits in New Zealand plus 3 percent of that bank’s time deposits in New Zealand, as shown in the last preceding monthly return furnished by that bank in accordance with section 31 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1964.

The Milk Treatment and Delivery Allowances Notice 1968, Amendment No. 2
PURSUANT to the Milk Act 1967, the Milk Prices Authority hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
- (i) This notice may be cited as the Milk Treatment and Delivery Allowances Notice 1968, Amendment No. 2.
(ii) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of September 1969.
(iii) This notice is given after consultation with the Minister of Agriculture.
(iv) This notice amends the Milk Treatment and Delivery Allowances Notice 1968 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal notice”) as amended by the Milk Treatment and Delivery Allowances Notice 1968, Amendment No. 1.
- The principal notice as amended is hereby further amended by revoking the item numbered 11 in the Schedule thereto and replacing the same with the following:
“11. Delivery to commercial users or consumers in quantities of—
(a) Less than 2 gallons per delivery ...... ...... 13.11
(b) 2 gallons and over, but less than 10 gallons per delivery ...... ...... 6.61
(c) 10 gallons and over, but less than 30 gallons per delivery ...... ...... 5.77
(d) 30 gallons and over per delivery ...... ...... 5.56”
