WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Municipal
Corporations Act 1954 and their respective amendments, notice
is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes,
under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other
Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to
execute a certain public work, namely, to develop an adjacent
block of seven sections; and, for the purpose of that public
work, the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to
be taken. And notice is hereby further given that any person
affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking
of the said land should, if he has any objection to the execution
of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not
being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation,
send his written objection, within 40 days from the first publica-
tion of this notice, to the Wellington City Council, addressed
to the Town Clerk at his said office. And notice is hereby
further given that, if any objection is made, as aforesaid, a
public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objection
otherwise requires, and each objection will be advised of the
time and place of that hearing; and at that hearing each
objection will be advised of the reasons for the proposed taking.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land containing by admeasurement thirty-two
perches (32p.), more or less, situate in the Township of Vogel-
town and being Lot 38 on Deposited Plan 52 and part Section
15, Ohiro District, and being all the land in certificate of title,
Volume 142, folio 275 (Wellington Registry).

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO STOP A PORTION OF BURMA ROAD

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council pro-
poses, pursuant to the provisions of section 170 (4) (h) of the
Municipal Corporations Act 1954, to stop all those portions of
street commonly known as Burma Road, in the City of Welling-
ton: first, containing by admeasurement one rood nought
decimal three six perch (1R. 0.36P.), more or less, adjoining
Sections 6 and 116, Porirua District, as the said piece of land
is more particularly shown on a plan lodged in the office of the
Chief Surveyor at Wellington, No. S.O. 27558, and thereon
coloured green; and secondly, containing by admeasurement
twenty decimal nine one perches (20.91P.), more or less, adjoin-
ing Section 217, Porirua District, as the said piece of land is
more particularly shown on a plan lodged in the office of the
Chief Surveyor at Wellington under No. S.O. 27558, and
thereon coloured green; and thirdly, three roods seventeen
decimal one nine perches (3R. 17.19P.), more or less, adjoining
Section 6, Porirua District, as the said piece of land is more
particularly shown on a plan lodged in the office of the Chief
Surveyor at Wellington under No. 27558, and thereon coloured
green; and fourthly, containing by admeasurement one decimal
two six perches (1.26P.), more or less, adjoining parts of
Section 5, Porirua District, situate in Block XI, Belmont Survey
District, as the said piece of land is more particularly shown
on a plan lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Welling-
ton, No. 27753, and thereon coloured green.

And notice is hereby further given that a copy of the said
plan is deposited at the public office of the Town Clerk to the
said Council, in the Municipal Office Building, Mercer Street,
in the said City, and is there open for public inspection, without
fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all
persons objecting to the proposal are required to lodge their
objections, in writing, at the offices of the said Town Clerk on
or before the 16th day of September 1969.

WHANGAREI CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956; the
Whangarei City Council, at a meeting held on 6 August 1969,
passed the following resolution:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of $54,700 authorised to be raised by the Whangarei City
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
repaying on maturity those portions of the Sewage Treatment
and Sewerage Reticulation Loan 1961, of $1,260,000, and Kamo
Town Council's Sewerage Loan 1961, of $78,000, which mature
on 29 July 1969, the said Whangarei City Council hereby makes
a special rate of 0.01463c in the dollar upon the rateable value
of all rateable property of the City of Whangarei, comprising
the whole of the City of Whangarei; and that the special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the
loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and
every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of
29 years, or until the loan is fully paid off; and the said Council
doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said rate as security
for the said loan."

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Whangarei City Council, at a meeting held on 6 August 1969,
passed the following resolution:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of $17,700 authorised to be raised by the Whangarei City
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
repaying on maturity those portions of the Okara Park Develop-
opment Loan 1962, of $120,000, which mature on 12 August
1969, the said Whangarei City Council hereby makes a special
rate of 0.00581c in the dollar upon the rateable value of all
rateable property of the City of Whangarei, comprising the
whole of the City of Whangarei; and that the special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan,
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every
year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 29
years, or until the loan is fully paid off; and the said Council
doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said rate as security
for the said loan."

HENDERSON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Development Redemption Loan (A), 1969, of $12,800

The following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Henderson Borough Council held on the 5th day of August
1969:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Henderson Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of $12,800 authorised to be raised by the Henderson
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the pur-
pose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Development
Loan 1958, of $100,000, which matures on 10 August 1969, the
said Henderson Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of
decimal nought three five cents (.035c) in the dollar upon the
rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of
Henderson; that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency
of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully
paid off; and that such special rate is hereby permanently
appropriated and pledged as security for the purpose of
securing the said loan of $12,800 and interest thereon at a rate
not exceeding five and three-quarter percent (5\frac{3}{4}%) per
annum."
