M.L.C. Fire and General Insurance Co. Pty. Ltd. hereby gives
notice that, after the expiration of 3 months from the first
publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette, the com-
pany will cease to have a place of business in New Zealand.

BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and the Public Works
Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Bay of Islands County
Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned
Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the provision
of a road within the County of Bay of Islands; and, for the
purpose of such public work, the lands described in the
Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice is hereby
further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken
is deposited in the office of the Bay of Islands County Council,
situate on Main Road, Kawakawa, and is open for inspection,
without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work
or by the taking of the said lands must state their objections,
in writing, and send the same within 40 days from the first
publication of this notice, to the County Clerk, Bay of Islands
County Council, Main Road, Kawakawa. If any objection is
lodged a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the
objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised
of the time and place of hearing.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND AND OF PROPOSAL TO
STOP A CERTAIN PIECE OF ROAD

Bluff Road - Clyde Street - Havelock Town, in the County of
Franklin

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amend-
ments, public notice is hereby given that the Franklin County
Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned
Act, firstly, to execute certain public works, namely, the
provision of road and, for the purpose of such public works,
the lands described in the First Schedule hereto are required to
be taken; and, secondly, to stop, pursuant to the provisions of
section 148 of the Public Works Act 1928, that piece of road
known as Clyde Street, described in the Second Schedule hereto.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so
required to be taken and of the piece of road so proposed to
be stopped is deposited in the public office of the clerk to the
Franklin County Council, situated in Roulston Street,
Pukekohe, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all
persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public works
or the taking of such lands, who may wish to make any objec-
tions thereto (not being an objection to the amount or payment
of compensation) and all persons who may wish to make any
objections to the above proposal to stop the said piece of road
must state their objections, in writing, and send the same to
the County Clerk at the office of the Franklin County Council,
Roulston Street, Pukekohe, within 40 days from the date of
the first publication of this notice. If any objection is made to
the execution of the said public works or to the taking of such
lands, as aforesaid, a public hearing of the objection will be
held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector
will be advised of the time and place of the hearing. If any
objections are received to the proposed stopping, as aforesaid,
a public notice will be published calling a meeting of the
ratepayers of the district; such meeting to be held at a time and
place to be specified in the said notice, the time so specified
being not earlier than 14 days after the date of publication of
the notice, pursuant to the said section 148 of the Public Works
Act 1928.
