Stopped Government Road Set Apart for the Christchurch-Lyttelton Motorway (Tunnel Route) in Block XVI, Christchurch Survey District, Heathcote County

PURSUANT to section 25 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the portion of stopped Government road described in the Schedule hereto to be set apart for the Christchurch-Lyttelton Motorway (tunnel route) from and after the 4th day of August 1969.

SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of stopped road containing 17.6 perches situated in Block XVI, Christchurch Survey District, Canterbury R.D., adjoining or passing through part Rural Sections 274 and 329 and Christchurch-Lyttelton Motorway; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 22812 (S.O. 11092) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

The Traffic (Tauranga County) Notice No. 4, 1969

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Tauranga County) Notice No. 4, 1969.

  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  3. The Warrant under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 16th day of May 1966†, which relates to Tauranga County, at Papamoa, is hereby revoked.

SITUATED within Tauranga County, at Papamoa:

Karewa Road.

Motiti Road.

Papamoa Beach Road (from a point 16 chains measured north-westerly generally along the said road from Domain Road to a point 2 miles and 24 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said Papamoa Beach Road from Parton’s Road).

Taylors Road.

The Traffic (Invercargill City and Southland County) Notice No. 1, 1969

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Invercargill City and Southland County) Notice No. 1, 1969.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  4. The roads specified in the Third Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  5. The Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 9th day of October 1962†, which relates to Invercargill City and Southland County, is hereby revoked.

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waihi Borough) Notice No. 1, 1969.

  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  3. The Warrants under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulations 27 and 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 13th day of May 1964† and the 7th day of August 1968‡, which relate to Waihi Borough, are hereby revoked.

No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) (from Waitete Road to the bridge over the Mangatoetoe Stream).

No. 25 State Highway (Pipiroa-Waihi via Coromandel) (from the northern boundary of Waihi Borough to a point 2 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said State highway from Barry Road).
