CHARITABLE TRUSTS ACT 1957
In the matter of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957, and in the matter of THE J. N. ANDERSON FAMILY ENDOWMENT FUND established by the last will and testament of Haskell Anderson, late of Wellington, company director, deceased:
TAKE notice that the Napier City Council intends to apply to the Supreme Court at Napier on the 11th day of August 1969, or so soon thereafter as the application may be heard, for an order approving the following draft scheme disposing of the above fund:

The said bequest shall be expended as hereinafter set out, on the development for recreational purposes and associated facilities for the general public of that land known as Anderson Park situate in Block VIII of the Heretaunga Survey District, containing, first, 1 rood 4 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 9002, being also portion of Suburban Section 42, Meeanee, and being all the land in certificate of title, H.B. Volume 161, folio 131, together with water and pipeline rights reserved by transfers 123769 and 210081, and subject to Proclamation 174712 and certain rights in transfer 123769; secondly, 4 acres 2 roods 26.4 perches, more or less, being Lot 6 on Deposited Plan 9002, being also portion of Suburban Section 42, Meeanee, and being all the land in certificate of title, H.B. Volume 161, folio 134, subject to (a) water pipeline and sewerage rights granted by transfer 123769, and (b) Proclamation 174712 and certain rights in transfer 123769; thirdly, 2 roods 11.5 perches, more or less, being Lots 5, 6, and 7 on Deeds Plan 125, being also part Suburban Section 42, Meeanee, and being all the land in certificate of title No. B. 1/578, limited as to parcels; and, fourthly, 82 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 462, being also part of Suburban Sections 42 and 65, Meeanee, and being all the land in certificate of title, H.B. Volume 33, folio 47, subject to (a) water pipeline and sewerage rights granted by transfer 123769, (b) Order in Council 174711, and (c) Proclamation 174712 and certain rights in transfer 123769.

The said bequest shall be expended in furtherance of any one or more of the following projected developments of the said land to develop it as a recreational reserve for the general public, the estimated cost of each such development being indicated-
Trees and Shrubs—Purchase and growing-on of trees and shrubs, both from the Council's nurseries and from independent sources; planting material, fertilisers, stakes, etc. ($5,250).
Establishment of Tree and Shrub Collection—Purchase and growing-on of special trees and shrubs suitable to the area as a collection, including preparation of the ground, general setting out, labelling, and display ($10,000).
Nursery—Small nursery area for growing-on trees and shrubs ($1,500).
Irrigation—General reticulation, pumps, wells, etc., for watering of plantings and park generally ($5,000).
Landscaping (1)—Filling and topsoil to provide some undulating ground for tree planting and to raise levels above salt areas ($11,250).
Landscaping (2)—Water features and waterway excavation, grading and shaping banks, connecting pipes and outlets. As the waterway runs through the length of the park, it is a main feature, setting off the group planting of trees ($7,500).
Pathways—Circulating pathways and bridges to lead over waterways to tree groves and picnic areas ($5,750).
Drainage—General drainage, storm water and draining low-lying areas ($13,700).
Equipment—Maintenance equipment, tractor, mowing equipment, truck or trailer, tools, etc. ($5,500).
Service House—A house is necessary for a park attendant to protect this area and to attend to the work and the development and maintenance of the park ($11,000).
- The expenditure of the sum of $6,856.94, already expended on the purchase and planting of trees and on developmental work connected therewith, is deemed to have been properly expended in terms of the objects of the bequest, as expended by this scheme.
Any person desiring to oppose the scheme shall give written notice of his intention to do so to the Registrar of the Supreme Court at Napier; to the East Coast Permanent Trustees Ltd., the trustees of the will of the late Haskell Anderson; to the Napier City Council; and to the Attorney-General not less than 7 clear days before the 11th day of August 1969, that is before the 4th day of August 1969.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL
AUCKLAND GAS COMPANY AMENDMENT ACT 1969
An Act to Amend the Provisions of the Auckland Gas Company's Act 1871
NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland Gas Company Limited (hereinafter called “the company”) intends to apply for leave to bring into the House of Representatives, during the present session of Parliament, a Private Bill, the short title of which is the Auckland Gas Company Amendment Act 1969. The objects of the proposed Bill are to extend the limits of the principal Act, now extending to and including the City of Auckland and such parts of the suburbs and vicinity thereof as lie within a radius of 12½ miles from a centre at the Post Office, Jean Batten Place, Auckland, and also the districts of the City of Manukau, of the County of Waitemata, and of the Boroughs of Helensville and Papakura, as those districts were constituted immediately before the passing of the Auckland Gas Company Amendment Act 1968, so as to include also the districts of the County of Franklin and of the Boroughs of Waiuku, Pukekohe, and Tuakau.
The Bill is promoted by the company, whose address, to which communications or notices may be sent, is at the offices of Messrs Buddle Weir and Co., Solicitors, Sixth Floor, Guardian Assurance Building, corner Queen Street and Darby Street, Auckland 1.
A copy of the proposed Bill may be inspected at the abovementioned address.
