DANNEVIRKE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Abattoir Loan 1969

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dannevirke Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $40,000 authorised to be raised by the Dannevirke Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making improvements to the Dannevirke Abattoir, the said Dannevirke Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of nought decimal point one one six cents (0.116c) in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Dannevirke; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Dannevirke Borough Council held on the 30th day of June 1969.

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets Improvement Renewal Loan No. 1, 1969—$7,100

“PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Blenheim Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of seven thousand one hundred dollars ($7,100) authorised to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the repayment of the balance of principal which would be outstanding on the Streets Improvement Loan 1958, $20,000 (First Portion Loan of $10,000), which matures on 17 August 1969, the said Blenheim Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.0063c in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the Borough of Blenheim; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I, Maurice Gladstone Clarke, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on 25 June 1969.

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Dunedin City Development Loan No. 5 (1969), $340,000

Copy of resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on Tuesday, 1 July 1969:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $340,000 authorised to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the costs for erection of rental flats in respect of Stage I of the Palmyra Redevelopment Scheme, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.027c in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of forty (40) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the above-mentioned date.

Dunedin City Development Loan No. 4 (1969), $170,000

Copy of resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on Tuesday, 1 July 1969:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $170,000 authorised to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land in the block bounded by Stafford, Melville, Carroll, and Maitland Streets and meeting costs of demolition in blocks bounded by Stafford, Melville, Carroll, and Maitland Streets and Palmyra Avenue, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.019c in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the city of Dunedin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of forty (40) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

OTAGO CATCHMENT BOARD

CONFIRMATION OF SPECIAL ORDER ADOPTING ACREAGE SYSTEM OF RATING IN PLEASANT RIVER SPECIAL RATING AREA

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, at a special meeting of the Otago Catchment Board, convened for the purpose and held on Friday, 20 June 1969, the following resolution was passed:

That (1) the acreage system of rating be adopted for the purpose of levying rates to meet the local share of the cost of maintenance of river control works in the catchment of the Pleasant River; and

(2) Such rates shall be levied on all rateable property liable to be rated for such rates in that part of the Otago Catchment District defined in the Schedule hereto and shown on plan B. 4473, deposited for inspection at the office of the Board and known as the Pleasant River special rating area; the said rate to be levied on a graduated scale according to a classification to be made by the Board of lands within the said part of the Catchment District; and

(3) Any person who considers the acreage system of rating will operate unfairly in the Pleasant River special rating area may, within 14 days after the date on which this resolution is confirmed by the Board as a special order, appeal on that ground to the Land Valuation Court against the special order.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area of land in the Otago Land District, Waihemo and Waikouaiti Counties, being part of the Moeraki and Hawksbury Survey Districts and comprising 29,000 acres, more or less, and bounded as follows:

Commencing at the mouth of the Pleasant River at a point on the south bank due south of the southernmost part of Section 71, Block IV, Hawksbury Survey District; thence north-easterly by that bank to the southern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 8602; thence north-westerly by that boundary to the north-western corner of Lot 2, D.P. 8602; thence north-westerly by a right line to Trig. H; thence south-westerly by a right line to the north-east corner of Section 24, Block IV, aforesaid; thence southerly by the State Highway No. 1 to the southern boundary of the said Section 24; thence westerly by that southern boundary to Flag Swamp Road; thence north-westerly by a right line to the south corner of Section 69, Block IV, aforesaid; thence north-westerly generally by Sizemore Road to a point opposite the north-western corner of Section 100, Block V, Hawksbury Survey District; thence westerly by a right line to the western corner of Section 102, Block V, aforesaid, and by the south boundary of Section 48 of the said block and the crossing of Quarry Road; thence due south by the said road to the south-east corner of Section 40, Block V, aforesaid; thence south-westerly by a right line passing through Trig. D., Derdan Hill, to the eastern corner of Section 10, Block V, aforesaid; thence south-westerly by Derdan Hill Road
