MANIOTOTO COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the powers conferred by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Counties Act 1956, and every other power and authority it thereunto enabling, the Maniototo County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for repayment of the Pensioner Flats Loan 1968, for $17,800.00, and interest and other charges thereon, which loan was authorised to be raised by the Maniototo County Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting accommodation for old people, the said Maniototo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.0053 of a cent in the dollar on the capital value of all rateable property in the Maniototo County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly from the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 40 years, or until such loan is fully paid off, whichever is the earlier.”

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Redemption Loan No. 1, 1969

That, whereas the sum of $19,600, borrowed by the Waitemata County Council under the Waikumete “B” and Waipareira “A” Sewer Loan 1963, $314,000, is due and payable on the 15th day of April 1969, and whereas the amount repaid in respect of the said loan amounts to only $2,200 and the sum of $17,400 is required to pay for the said loan, the Waitemata County Council, in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, hereby resolves:

(a) To borrow the sum of $17,400 for the purpose of repaying the said loan.

(b) That the sum of $17,400 shall be payable on the 15th day of April 1993 or such earlier date as may be determined by Council.

(c) That, for the purpose of providing interest, principal, and other charges on the Redemption Loan No. 1, 1969, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.083c in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within Waikumete “B” and Waipareira “A” special areas; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate through the currency of the loan and payable yearly on the 1st day of June each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 24 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

(d) That authority be granted to gazette this resolution.

That, whereas the sum of $6,000, borrowed by the Waitemata County Council under the Glenfield Sewerage Loan No. 1, 1960, $560,000, is due and payable on the 15th day of April 1969, and whereas the amount repaid in respect of the said loan amounts to only $700 and the sum of $5,300 is required to pay for the said loan, the Waitemata County Council, in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, hereby resolves:

(a) To borrow the sum of $5,300 for the purpose of repaying the said loan.

(b) That the sum of $5,300 shall be payable on the 15th day of April 1993 or such earlier date as may be determined by Council.

(c) That, for the purpose of providing interest, principal, and other charges on the Redemption Loan No. 2, 1969, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.0038c in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the Glenfield County Town; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate through the currency of the loan and payable on the 1st day of June each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 24 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

(d) That authority be granted to gazette this resolution.

That, whereas the sum of $15,500, borrowed by the Waitemata County Council under the Te Atatu Sewerage Loan 1962, $440,000, is due and payable on the 15th day of April 1969, and whereas the amount repaid in respect of the said loan amounts to only $1,800 and the sum of $13,700 is required to pay for the said loan, the Waitemata County Council, in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, hereby resolves:

(a) To borrow the sum of $13,700 for the purpose of repaying the said loan.

(b) That the sum of $13,700 shall be payable on the 15th day of April 1993 or such earlier date as may be determined by Council.

(c) That, for the purpose of providing interest, principal, and other charges on the Redemption Loan No. 3, 1969, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.0123c in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within Te Atatu Riding; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate through the currency of the loan and payable yearly on the 1st day of June each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 24 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

(d) That authority be granted to gazette this resolution.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Water Supply Loan 1968, $885,500

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waitemata County Council hereby resolves that, for the purpose of providing the annual charges of a loan of $885,500, authorised to be raised by the Waitemata County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of upgrading and extending the water supply in various parts of the County of Waitemata, the Waitemata County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.1004c in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Waitemata; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off.
