Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby authorises the Birkenhead Borough Council to reclaim from Island Bay, Waitemata Harbour, an area of tidal land covering 1 rood 10 perches, being Crown foreshore; as shown, cross-hatched in red, on plan M.D. 13157 deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington.

Pursuant to section 175 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Marlborough County Council to reclaim from Te Mahia Bay, Kenepuru Sound, an area of 37.5 perches, more or less; as shown, edged red, on plan marked M.D. 13158 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington.

Authorising the Construction of the New Plymouth Southern Motorway

Pursuant to section 3 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, at the request of the National Roads Board and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the construction of a motorway commencing near the junction of the Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth State Highway and Awamue Street in the City of New Plymouth, and proceeding thence through the City of New Plymouth and the County of Taranaki and terminating near the Mangorei Stream bridge on the said Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth State Highway.
