At the Government House at Wellington this 9th day of
June 1969

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 11 of the Housing Act 1955, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders
and declares that the access way described in the Schedule
hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council,
vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of
Christchurch, and be under the control and management of
the Christchurch City Council.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that access way containing 6.6 perches situated in the City
of Christchurch, Canterbury R.D., being Lot 987, D.P. 24219,
and being part Rural Sections 2155 and 6836.

Adding Land to Tongariro National Park

At the Government House at Wellington this 23rd day of
June 1969

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares
that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, as from
the date hereof, be added to and form part of the Tongariro
National Park, and shall hereafter be managed, administered,
and dealt with by the Tongariro National Park Board in
accordance with the provisions of the said Act.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT—WAIMARINO COUNTY

UREWERA 2A 2, situated in Blocks IX, X, and XIII, Ruapehu
Survey District, and Block XVI, Manganui Survey District:
area, 2,909 acres, more or less. All Gazette notice 781098.

Urewera part 1A, situated in Blocks X and XIV, Ruapehu
Survey District: area, 151 acres 3 roods, more or less. Part
certificate of title, Volume 205, folio 3.

Urewera part 2A 1, situated in Block X, Ruapehu Survey
District: area, 39 acres 2 roods, more or less. Part certificate of
title, Volume 205, folio 4.

All the land being shown on the plan marked L. and S.
4/362/1A deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands
and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Also all the bed and waters of the Mangaturuturu Stream
from a point due south of the Hauhungatahi Trig. Station to
where the circumference of a circle having a radius of 4 miles
from Paretetaitonga (H.) Trig. Station crosses the aforesaid
stream.

Promotion, Appointment, and Relinquishments of Appointments
of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force

PURSUANT to the Royal New Zealand Air Force Act 1950, the
Defence Act 1964, and the Royal New Zealand Air Force
Regulations 1968, His Excellency the Governor-General has
been pleased to approve the following promotion, appointment,
and relinquishments of appointments of officers of the Royal
New Zealand Air Force.

REGULAR AIR FORCE

GENERAL DUTIES BRANCH

Promotion

Air Commodore William Hector Stratton, C.B.E., D.F.C and
BAR, j.s.s.c., to be Air Vice Marshal, with seniority and effect
from 1 July 1969.

Appointment

Air Vice Marshal William Hector Stratton, C.B.E., D.F.C and
BAR, j.s.s.c., is appointed Chief of the Air Staff and First Air
Member of the Air Board, and, in addition, Air Officer Com-
manding the Royal New Zealand Air Force, with effect from
1 July 1969.

Relinquishments

Air Vice Marshal Cameron Archer Turner, C.B., C.B.E., C.ENG.,
F.I.E.E., F.R.AE.S., i.d.c., p.s.c., relinquishes the appointment of
Chief of the Air Staff and First Air Member of the Air Board,
and, in addition, Air Officer Commanding the Royal New
Zealand Air Force, with effect from 1 July 1969.

Air Commodore William Hector Stratton, C.B.E., D.F.C and
BAR, j.s.s.c., relinquishes the appointment of Air Member for
Personnel and Member of the Air Board, with effect from 1
July 1969.

Flight Lieutenant John Alexander Laing (75021) to be
Squadron Leader, with seniority and effect from 1 May 1969.

The seniority date adjustment of Flight Lieutenant David
William Hill, B.E. (80896), published in Gazette, No. 24, dated
23 April 1969, is hereby amended to read 23 May 1967.

Promotions

The under-mentioned Pilot Officers to be Flying Officers, with
seniority and effect from 30 April 1969:
