Vesting a Reserve in the Pahiatua County Council
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby vests the reserve described in the Schedule hereto in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Pahiatua, in trust, for gravel purposes.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT—PAHIATUA COUNTY SECTION 14, Block II, Puketoi Survey District: area, 1 acre 1 rood 37 perches, more or less (S.O. 13246).

The Road Classification (Otahuhu Borough) Notice No. 1, 1969
PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955*, the Secretary for Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (Otahuhu Borough) Notice No. 1, 1969.

The Otahuhu Borough Council's proposed classification of the roads as set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby approved.

So much of the Warrant dated the 25th day of July 1952+ which relates to the classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

OTAHUHU BOROUGH
Roads Classified in Class One ATKINSON Avenue (from Portage Road to High Street and the Great South Road), Avenue Road (from Water Street to Atkinson Avenue), Frank Grey Place (from motorway exit north through Princes Street to entrance to motorway south), Portage Road (from Atkinson Avenue to the North Island Main Trunk Railway), Princes Street (from Great South Road to motorway), Todd Place (from Princes Street to the overbridge), Princes Street (from Todd Place, including the overbridge, to the Brady Road tip), Saleyards Road (from Portage Road to Station Road), Walter Street (from the exit from the motorway to Avenue Road).

Land Surveyors' Examination, August-September 1969— Australia and New Zealand
It is hereby notified for general information that the New Zealand Survey Board, in conjunction with the Australian Surveyors' Boards, will conduct an examination of candidates for registration as surveyors commencing at 9 a.m. on Monday, 11 August 1969.
Candidates are notified that their applications, on the proper form, must reach the Secretary of the Board not later than Friday, 11 July 1969, and that the examination fee must be paid at the same time to the Secretary, from whom application forms and other particulars may be obtained.
Candidates presenting themselves for examination in any written subject or subjects may present themselves for examination at any Chief Surveyor's office, or at the office of the District Surveyor at Rotorua or Whangarei, or as otherwise directed.
The oral and practical portion of the examination commences at 8.45 a.m., 22 September 1969, and all candidates must sit in Wellington. Applications, on the proper forms, must reach the Secretary of the Board not later than Monday, 25 August 1969. Plans for this portion of the examination, the certificate, and other evidence required by regulation No. 24 of the Survey Examination Regulations 1962, together with the results of stellar observations and computations, must reach the Secretary not later than Monday, 15 September 1969.
The fees for examination are as follows:
Part examination $8 For each written paper in addition $2 For the oral and practical portion of the examination $20 For review of examination paper $2

Amendments to the Rules of the Royal Society of New Zealand
PURSUANT to the Royal Society of New Zealand Act 1965, the Fellows of the Royal Society of New Zealand, at the annual general meeting held on 21 May 1969, passed resolutions amending the rules of the Society published in the Gazette on 22 December 1965, 29 June 1967, and 13 June 1968, the effect of such resolutions being:
SECTION B—THE ELECTION OF COUNCIL AND OFFICERS
RULE B.9 was amended to read:
B.9. Each Fellow may send to the General Secretary nominations for one or more of the four Officers and for up to eight Fellows' Councillors. Each nomination shall be seconded by another Fellow and shall indicate that the consent of the nominee has been obtained. Each member body may send to the General Secretary nominations for up to eight Fellows' Councillors. All nominations, endorsed by the written consent of the nominee, must be received at the Society's office before 15 March.
SECTION E—THE MEMBER BODIES' COMMITTEE
RULE E.6 was amended to read:
E.6. The Member Bodies' Committee shall meet at least once a year, if possible shortly before the annual general meeting, and at other times as decided at the first meeting or when convened by the Chairman, or on the written requisition of 10 of its members. A quorum of the Committee shall consist of 10 representatives of member bodies.
