WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL

PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR DEPOT SITE.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitemata County Council proposes under the provisions of the Public Works Act and amendments and of the Counties Act 1956 and amendments, to execute a certain work, namely, the construction of a depot on the property of Mr S. Ujdur, situated in Birdwood Road, Henderson, in Waitakere Riding of the County of Waitemata; and, for the purposes of such public work, the land in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the clerk of the said Council, situated in the Council Chambers, 68-70 Greys Avenue, Auckland, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

Every person affected by the proposal shall set forth, in writing, any objections he may wish to make to the execution of the work or the taking of the land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, and shall send such written objection, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers. A public hearing of such objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Counties Act 1956, the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, and the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Horowhenua County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts and all other Acts and powers thereunto it enabling, to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of the operative district scheme for the County of Horowhenua and for the regrouping, improvement, and development of the said lands for letting or leasing or resale for commercial purposes; the Council being of the opinion that it is necessary and expedient so to do for the proper development and use of the said lands and for the improvement of areas that are too closely sub-divided. All persons affected by the taking of the said lands must state their objections, in writing, and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Horowhenua County Council offices, Bath Street, Levin. If any objection is made, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of hearing.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

CERTIFIED copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 28th day of May 1969:

“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of two hundred and forty-seven thousand dollars ($247,000) to be known as the Grattan Street Housing Development Loan No. 1, 1968, $247,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of redeveloping the Grattan Street Block Stage 1 in Freemans Bay reclamation area, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought three six one (.0361) of a cent in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property (of Auckland City) comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

BOROUGH OF ONEHUNGA

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets Redemption Loan 1969, $29,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Onehunga Borough Council hereby resolves that, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $29,000 authorised to be raised under the above-mentioned Act for the repayment on maturity of those portions of the Streets and Footpaths Improvement Loan 1955, $500,000, as will mature on 10 August 1969, 1 September 1969, and 12 October 1969, and that portion of the Water and Sewer Reticulation Loan 1956, $130,000, as will mature on 22 March 1970, the said Onehunga Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.01662c in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Onehunga; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly over a period of 10 years or until the loan is fully paid off.
