AT McLeods Bay:
Onerahi-Urquharts Bay Road (from a point 3 chains
measured south-easterly generally along the said road from
Reotahi Road to a point 1 mile 40 chains measured northerly
generally along Onerahi-Urquharts Bay Road from Reotahi
Road).
AT Taurikura Bay:
Onerahi-Urquharts Bay Road (from a point 16 chains
measured westerly generally along the said road from Taurikura Road to a point 48 chains measured south-easterly
generally along Onerahi-Urquharts Bay Road from Odys
Road).

The Traffic (Manukau City) Notice No. 2, 1969
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport
hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
-
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Manukau City)
Notice No. 2, 1969. -
So much of the Warrant under section 52 of the Transport
Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*,
dated the 3rd day of May 1967†, which relates to Manukau
City, and which was not revoked by the Traffic (Manukau
City) Notice No. 1, 1969, dated the 7th day of February 1969†,
is hereby revoked. -
All the roads in Manukau City, with the exception of those
roads contained in the areas specified in the First Schedule
hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed
imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962. -
The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are
hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by
section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 during the period commencing with the Wednesday following Easter each year and
ending with the 30th day of November. -
The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are
hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for
the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*
during the period commencing with the Wednesday following
Easter each year and ending with the 30th day of November. -
The roads specified in the Third Schedule hereto are
hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for
the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
FIRST SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Manukau City:
At Ardmore—all that area at Ardmore consisting of the area
of land formerly occupied by the School of Engineering,
University of Auckland, and the area occupied by the Ardmore
Teachers College.
At Bucklands Beach and Eastern Beach—all that area at
Bucklands Beach and Eastern Beach bounded by a line commencing at the point where the northern boundary of Howick
Borough meets the shore of the Hauraki Gulf; thence south-
westerly generally along that boundary to the north-western
side of Hutchinsons Road; thence north-westerly generally by
a right line to a point on the southern side of Gills Road 10
chains measured westerly generally along the said road from
Hutchinsons Road; thence across Gills Road at right angles from
its southern side to its northern side; thence by a right line to a
point on the south-eastern side of Bucklands Beach Road 3
chains measured south-westerly generally along the said road
from Richard Avenue; thence across Bucklands Beach Road
at right angles from its south-eastern side to its north-western
side; thence by a right line to a point on the shore of the
Tamaki Estuary opposite the end of Pigeon Mountain Road;
thence northerly generally along the shore of the said estuary
and south-easterly generally along the shore of the Hauraki
Gulf to the commencing point.
At Beachlands—all that area bounded by a line commencing
at a point on the northern side of Beachlands Road 5 chains
measured south-easterly generally along the said roadside from
Shelly Bay Road; thence north-easterly generally by a right
line across the eastern end of Third View Avenue to the shore
of the Hauraki Gulf; thence westerly generally along the said
shore line to a point opposite the southern end of Puriri Road;
thence by a right line to the southern end of Puriri Road;
thence by a right line south-easterly generally to the western
end of Karaka Road; thence south-easterly generally along the
southern side of Karaka Road to its eastern end; thence
northerly generally by a right line to the commencing point.
At Clevedon—Papakura—Clevedon-Kawakawa Road (from
a point 5 chains measured northerly generally along the said
road from East Road to a point 5 chains measured north-
easterly generally along the Papakura-Clevedon-Kawakawa
Road from the entrance to the Clevedon Public School). North
Road (from the Papakura-Clevedon-Kawakawa Road to
Brookby Road).
At Kawakawa Bay—Clevedon - Kawakawa Bay Road (from
Kawakawa Bay - Orere Road to a point 12 chains measured
south-westerly generally along Clevedon - Kawakawa Bay Road
from Kawakawa Bay - Orere Road).
Kawakawa Bay Coast Road (from Kawakawa Bay - Orere
Road to a point 4 chains measured north-easterly generally
along Kawakawa Bay Coast Road from Karaka Road).
Kawakawa Bay - Orere Road (from Clevedon - Kawakawa
Bay Road to Bertram Road).
At Mangere, Mangere Bridge, Mangere East, and Favona—
all that area at Mangere, Mangere Bridge, Mangere East, and
Favona except that portion of Favona Road described in the
Second Schedule hereto bounded by a line commencing at
the point where the south-western boundary of Otahuhu
Borough meets the north-western boundary of Papatoetoe City;
thence south-westerly generally along the north-western boundary of Papatoetoe City and along the south-eastern side of
Portage Road to a point opposite the south-western side of
Henwood Road where it meets Portage Road; thence across
Portage Road at right angles from its southern side to its
northern side; thence north-westerly generally by a right line
across the end of Richard Avenue to the south-eastern side of
Pukaki Road; thence north-easterly generally along the south-
eastern side of Pukaki Road to the southern side of the No.
20 State Highway (Onehunga-Redoubt Road); thence westerly
generally by a right line across Pukaki Road to a point on the
south-eastern side of Westney Road 26 chains measured south-
westerly generally along the said roadside from the No. 20
State Highway (Onehunga-Redoubt Road); thence across
Westney Road at right angles from its south-eastern side to its
north-western side; thence due west by a right line to a point
on the south-eastern side of George Bolt Memorial Drive;
thence north-easterly generally along that side of George Bolt
Memorial Drive to the south-western side of No. 20 State
Highway (Onehunga-Redoubt Road); thence across the said
State highway at right angles from its south-western side to its
north-eastern side; thence northerly generally along the said
roadside to a point opposite the southern side of Tarata
Crescent; thence across the said State highway at right angles
from its eastern side to its western side; thence south-westerly
generally by a right line to a point on the eastern side of
Kirkbride Road; thence north-westerly generally along the said
roadside across Mountain Road to the eastern side of Wallace
Road; thence northerly generally along the eastern side of
Wallace Road to the southern side of Pikitea Road; thence
across Wallace Road at right angles from its eastern side to
its western side; thence westerly generally by a right line
across the southern end of Wellesley Road to a point on the
bank of the Oxidation Pond; thence northerly and westerly
generally along the bank of the Oxidation Pond and northerly
and easterly generally along the shore of the Manukau Harbour
to a point opposite the end of Miro Road; thence due east by
a right line to the western boundary of Otahuhu Borough;
thence southerly generally along that boundary to the commencing point.
At Manurewa—all that area at Manurewa bounded by a line
commencing at a point on the south-western side of the No. 1
State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) beneath the Orams Road over-
bridge; thence southerly generally along the said side of the No.
1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to the north-eastern side of
the North Island Main Trunk Railway; thence north-westerly
generally along the north-eastern side of the said railway to
the northern bank of the Papakura Stream; thence south-
westerly generally along that bank of the said stream to a point
due east of the south-western end of Clayton Road; thence
due west by a right line to a point on the south-eastern side
of Clayton Road at its intersection with the north-eastern side
of Coxheads Road; thence across Coxheads Road at right
angles from its north-eastern side to its south-western side;
thence north-westerly generally by a right line to a point
