Declaring Land Taken for Buildings of the General Government (Ministry of Works Workshops and Depot) in the City of Hamilton

Pursuant to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for buildings of the General Government from and after the 16th day of June 1969.

All that piece of land containing 5 acres 3 roods 24.99 perches situated in the City of Hamilton, being Lots 23, 24, 25, and 30, D.P. 16685, and part Lot 8, D.P. 20275, and being part Allotment 365, Parish of Te Rapa. All certificate of title No. 2B/610, South Auckland Land Registry.

Revoking the Foreshore Licence for a Water Intake Pipeline at Te Wae Wae Bay, Orepuki

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby gives notice that the licence granted to the Orepuki Co-operative Dairy Co. Ltd. on the 9th day of April 1962*, authorising the company to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the sea at Te Wae Wae Bay, Orepuki, as a site for a water intake pipeline, and assigned to Derrick Popham and William McAllister on 9 April 1965†, is revoked.

Revoking the Foreshore Licence Issued to Rodney County Council for a Fence at Martin's Bay

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby gives notice that the licence signed on 15 May 1964*, authorising the Rodney County Council to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the sea at Martin's Bay as a site for a fence, as shown on plan M.D. 11560, is revoked.

The Traffic (Whangarei County) Notice No. 2, 1969

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Whangarei County) Notice No. 2, 1969.

  2. The road specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon at any time during the period commencing with the 20th day of December in each year and ending with the 10th day of February in the next ensuing year, and the period commencing with the Thursday preceding Easter each year and ending with the Tuesday following Easter shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 30 miles an hour fixed by the said section.

  3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon during the period commencing with the 11th day of February each year and ending with the Wednesday preceding Easter, and the period commencing with the Wednesday following Easter each year and ending with the 19th day of December shall be subject to the speed limitation fixed by the said regulation.

  4. The Warrant under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 24th day of May 1965†, which relates to Whangarei County, at Taurikura, is hereby revoked.

At McLeods Bay:

Onerahi - Urquharts Bay Road (from a point 3 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said road from Reotahi Road to a point 1 mile 40 chains measured northerly generally along Onerahi - Urquharts Bay Road from Reotahi Road).

At Taurikura Bay:

Onerahi - Urquharts Bay Road (from a point 16 chains measured westerly generally along the said road from Taurikura Road to a point 48 chains measured south-easterly generally along Onerahi - Urquharts Bay Road from Odys Road).
