Declaring Land Taken for a Post Office in the City of Gisborne

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken, subject to the provisions of a deed of covenant dated the 28th day of March 1969, made between Her Majesty the Queen and Gisborne Sheepfarmers Mercantile Co. Ltd., for a post office from and after the 26th day of May 1969.

Notice of Intention to Take Land for the University of Auckland

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the University of Auckland: and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post Office at the University of Auckland and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objections to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same, in writing, and send the written objection, within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing. The land to be taken is part of the old Auckland Central Police Station site, on the corner of Wellesley Street and Princes Street.

Licensing Edward Stanley Mitchell to Occupy a Site for a Jetty, Walkway, and Shed in Riverton Harbour

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Edward Stanley Mitchell (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his administrators, executors, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of Riverton Harbour, as shown on plans marked M.D. 13129 and M.D. 13258 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a jetty, walkway, and shed, as shown on the said plans; such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

  2. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of October 1968.

  3. The premium payable by the licensee shall be 10 dollars ($10) and the annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be 12 dollars ($12).

Foreshore Licence in Waikawa Harbour

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licences and permits Walter Allan Stronach, Charles Brett Harvey, Charles Stewart Harvey, Raymond Ferguson Harvey, and Graham Lawrence Dawson, acting as trustees for the Waikawa Fisherman’s Wharf Committee for the purpose of this licence (hereinafter called the licensees, which term shall include their administrators, executors, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy part of the foreshore and bed of Waikawa Harbour, as shown on the plan marked M.D. 13373 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a jetty, as shown on the said plan; such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensees upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE

Maori Oyster Fishery, Mangonui Inlet

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Fisheries Amendment Act 1965, the Minister of Marine, acting on the recommendation of the committee in control of the fishery, hereby declares that no oysters shall be taken from the Maori oyster fishery prescribed by paragraph (b) of regulation 30 of the Oyster Fishing Regulations 1946 (S.R. 1966/177) during the period commencing on 1 June 1969 and ending on 30 April 1970.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Fisheries Amendment Act 1965, the Minister of Marine, acting on the recommendation of the committee in control of the fishery, hereby declares that no oysters shall be taken from the Maori oyster fishery prescribed by subparagraphs (i) and (ii) of paragraph (a) of regulation 30 of the Oyster Fishing Regulations 1946 (S.R. 1966/177) during the period commencing on 1 June 1969 and ending on 30 April 1970.

The Traffic (Ellesmere County) Notice No. 2, 1969

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.


NOTICE

THIS notice may be cited as the Traffic (Ellesmere County) Notice No. 2, 1969.

The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

The Warrant under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 17th day of March 1969†, which relates to Ellesmere County, at Dunsandel, is hereby revoked.
