DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loans 1969

Copy of resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on
Monday, 5 May 1969:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the
renewal loans detailed in the Schedule hereunder, authorised
to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of refinancing loans due for
repayment during the current financial year, the said Dunedin
City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0451c in the
dollar ($) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of
the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of
Dunedin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of the loans and be payable yearly
on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the
currency of the loans, being a period of six (6) years and ten
(10) years, or until the loans are fully paid off.

SCHEDULE

(a) General Renewal Loan No. 1, 1969, of $94,000
(b) Water Renewal Loan No. 1, 1969, of $14,000
(c) Electricity Renewal Loan No. 1, 1969, of $82,600

OTAGO CENTRAL ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Extensions Renewal Loan 1969

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otago
Central Electric Power Board Resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on
a loan of twenty-nine thousand dollars ($29,000) authorised
to be raised by the Otago Central Electric Power Board under
the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on
maturity portion of the Extensions Loan 1958 of one hundred
and twenty thousand dollars ($120,000) which matures on 31
July 1969, the said Otago Central Electric Power Board makes
a special rate of 0.0064 of a cent in the dollar on the
capital value of the rateable property in the whole of the
Board’s district of supply; and that the special rate shall be
payable annually on the 1st day of April in each and every
year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten
years (10), or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a
properly constituted meeting of the Otago Central Electric
Power Board held on the 23rd day of April 1969.

BOROUGH OF MOSGIEL

SPECIAL ORDER MAKING CONSOLIDATED SPECIAL RATE

“RESOLVED, that the following resolution, carried at a special
meeting of the Mosgiel Borough Council held on the 1st day
of April 1969, be and the same is hereby confirmed:

“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by section 108A of the Municipal Corporations
Act 1954, and all other powers in that behalf enabling it, the
Mosgiel Borough Council resolves, so that this resolution may
be confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the Council and
operate as a special order, to make and levy an annual-
recurring consolidated special rate of one decimal five seven
cents (1.57c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (on
the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
of the Borough of Mosgiel comprising the whole of the
Borough of Mosgiel; and that such consolidated special rate
shall be made in substitution for the consolidated special rate
of 1.58c made and levied by special order dated the 4th day of
June 1968, and for the special rate of 0.08c in respect of the
Water Augmentation Renewal Loan 1969 of $20,000.”

“Further, that the Common Seal of the body corporate
known as the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough
of Mosgiel be affixed unto the above-written special order in
the presence of His Worship the Mayor; R. M. McDonald,
Esq.; Councillors R. H. Malcolm and C. H. Leith; and the
Town Clerk.”

In witness whereof the Common Seal of Mayor, Councillors,
and Citizens of the Borough of Mosgiel was hereunto affixed
this 6th day of May 1969, in the presence of:

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Development and Expansion Loan (No. 2) 1966, $400,000—
Second Issue, $230,000

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and
for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of
$230,000 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
developing and expanding the waterworks, drainage, and street
systems of the city, including sewage treatment plant and
houses for attendants, the said Invercargill City Council hereby
makes a special rate of decimal nought four nought cents
(.040c) in the dollar on the rateable value on the basis of the
unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of
Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable
yearly on the 15th day of May in each year during the
currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the
loan is fully paid off.

a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City Council
held on Tuesday, 29 April 1969.

Second Issue, $70,000

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and
for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of
$70,000 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council
under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing
new intake and water treatment facilities at Branxholme, and
meeting ancillary costs, the said Invercargill City Council
hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one two cents
(.012c) in the dollar on the rateable value on the basis of the
unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of
Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable
yearly on the 15th day of May in each year during the
currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the
loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of
a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City
Council held on Tuesday, 29 April 1969.
