TAKAPUNA CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby
given that the Takapuna City Council proposes, under the
provisions of the above-mentioned Act, to execute a certain
public work, namely, construction of a service lane in the
City of Takapuna; and, for the purpose of such public work,
the fee simple estate in the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further
given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is
deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk, Council
Chambers, Takapuna, and is open for public inspection, without
fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

Every person affected who wishes to make any objection to
the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the
said land (not being an objection to the amount or payment of
compensation) must state his objection, in writing, and send
the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this
notice, to the Town Clerk, Council Chambers, Takapuna.

If any objection is made a public hearing of the objection
will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each
objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

SCHEDULE

ALL the fee simple estate in that piece of land containing 2.9
perches, more or less, being part Lot 138, Deposited Plan
6879, being part Allotment 30, Section 1, Parish of Takapuna,
being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume
182, folio 65, North Auckland Land Registry, together with
rights of way created in transfers 677369 and 677370, and
situated at 449–459 Lake Road, Takapuna; and being shown,
coloured sepia, on a plan recorded in the office of the said
Town Clerk, under No. A. 1218.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

CERTIFIED copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the
Auckland City Council held on the 30th day of April 1969:

“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and
amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amend-
ment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers
thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby
resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000)
to be known as the Purchase of Properties Loan 1968,
$400,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the
Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the
purpose of purchasing properties for motorway from Dominion
Road to Upper Queen Street, the said Auckland City Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought eight
five eight (.0858) of a cent in the dollar ($) on the rateable
value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable
property (of Auckland City) comprising the whole of the
City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and
shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and
every year during the currency of the said loan or until the
loan is fully paid off.”

TAURANGA CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Housing of Aged Loan 1969—$20,100

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, at a meeting of the
Tauranga City Council held on 28 April 1969, the following
resolution was passed:

“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Tauranga City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of $20,100 authorised to be raised by the Tauranga City
Council under the above-mentioned Act for purchasing land
and erecting accommodation for old people, the said Tauranga
City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal point
nought nought four five cents (.0045c) in the dollar upon the
rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Tauranga;
and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on
the 1st day of February and August in each and every year
during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 40
years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
