Exempting Land in the Westland Land District from the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925
ARTHUR PORRITT, Governor-General
Pursuant to section 167 of the Coal Mines Act 1925, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby exempt the land described in the Schedule hereto from the operation of Part III of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
All that area of land containing 1 rood, more or less, situate in the Borough of Brunner, being Section 177, Town of Dobson, situated in Block X, Arnold Survey District. Part deeds index M.S. 289 and all leasehold certificate of title, Volume 1A, folio 907 (limited as to parcels) (S.O. Roll Plan 2/81); save and excepting for Her Majesty the Queen all seams or beds of coal and all other minerals and metals and reserving to Her Majesty the Queen and all persons lawfully entitled to work the State coal, minerals, and metals a right of ingress, egress, and regress under the said land.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 24th day of April 1969.

Appointment of Deputy Chairman of the Indecent Publications Tribunal
Pursuant to section 4 of the Indecent Publications Act 1963, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint Frederic McCarthy, Esq. of Auckland, retired Stipendiary Magistrate, to be Deputy Chairman of the Indecent Publications Tribunal during the absence from duty of the Chairman of the Tribunal, Leonard George Herston Sinclair, Esq., of Auckland.
