Wellington City Cuba Street Pedestrian Mall Loan 1969,
of $50,000

"PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to be known as The Wellington City Cuba Street Pedestrian Mall Loan 1969, of $50,000, authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of establishing and developing a pedestrian mall in part of Cuba Street in the City of Wellington, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one eight five of a cent (.185c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Cuba Street Special Rating Area (for which a special roll, prepared pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and regulations thereunder, was signed on the 9th day of October 1968); and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off."

Wellington City and Suburban Water Supply Loan 1969,
of $50,000

"PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the Wellington City and Suburban Water Supply Act 1927, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a special loan of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to be known as the Wellington City and Suburban Water Supply Loan 1969, of $50,000, authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of acquiring property for Water Board purposes, the said Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought two one of a cent (.0021c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Cities of Wellington, Upper Hutt, and Porirua, the Boroughs of Eastbourne and Tawa, and the County of Hutt; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years or until the loan is fully paid off."

Wellington City and Suburban Water Supply Additional Loan 1969, of $215,000

"PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the Wellington City and Suburban Water Supply Act 1927, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a special loan of two hundred and fifteen thousand dollars ($215,000) to be known as the Wellington City and Suburban Water Supply Additional Loan 1969, of $215,000, authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the abovementioned Acts for the purpose of meeting the additional costs of improving the water supply for the Wellington City and Suburban Water Board, the said Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought eight nine of a cent (.0089c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Cities of Wellington, Upper Hutt, and Porirua, the Boroughs of Eastbourne and Tawa, and the County of Hutt; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty (30) years or until the loan is fully paid off."

GERALDINE COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Geraldine County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $73,000, authorised to be raised by the Geraldine County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a piped constant-flow water supply within the Te Moana Downs Water Supply District, the said Geraldine County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal zero one eight (.018) of a cent in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the County of Geraldine, comprising the whole of the County of Geraldine;

and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and payable annually on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

The foregoing resolution was passed by the Geraldine County Council at a duly constituted meeting of the said Council held on the 14th day of April 1969.

CHARITABLE TRUSTS ACT 1957

NOTICE OF APPLICATION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Otago Foundation Trust Board as trustee of the estate of Robert Campbell deceased has applied to the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Dunedin for an order varying the trusts of the will of the deceased pursuant to a scheme prepared in that behalf as required by section 34 of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957. Pursuant to section 35 of the said Act, the application scheme and report of the Attorney-General thereon are open for inspection without any fee or charge at the office of the Court in the Supreme Court Building at Dunedin.

THE DATE proposed for the hearing of the application is the 23rd day of May 1969.

PARTICULARS of the scheme are:

A. Purpose

To provide or contribute towards a residence for residents for not less than 2 years of Otago and Southland over the age of 38 with priority to female members of the Presbyterian Church in indifferent health and without substantial means.

B. Powers

To hold all present assets and at the trustees discretionβ€”
(a) sell any asset and invest in a trustee security or security presently comprising an asset
(b) acquire or dispose of interest in real property.
(c) maintain demolish and erect buildings.
(d) borrow money with or without security.
(e) employ agents and join other persons or organisations having similar purposes.

C. Proviso

The trustees powers are to be exercised under the name "Campbell Convalescent Home Trust."

ANY PERSON desiring to oppose the scheme shall give written notice of his intention to do so to the Registrar of the Supreme Court at Dunedin AND to the trustee whose address for service is at the office of its solicitors, Messrs Downie Stewart, Payne, Forrester and Armitage, Fifth Floor, T. and G. Building, 335 Princes Street, Dunedin AND to the Attorney-General not less than 7 clear days before the date proposed for hearing.
