HAWERA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Counties Act 1956, notice is hereby given that the Hawera County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above mentioned Acts, to execute a public work, namely, to improve the alignment of the Normanby Road. The proposed work is in the vicinity of the Kiwi Co-operative Dairies Ltd. dairy factory (Okaiawa branch) and the intersection of the Katotauru Road; and, for the purpose of such public work, the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.

A plan showing the lands to be taken is available for public inspection at the office of the Council, 33 Princes Street, Hawera, during office hours.

All persons affected by the proposed taking are hereby called upon to set forth, in writing, any objection to the execution of the work or to the taking of the said lands, not being an objection to the amount of payment of compensation, and to send such written objection, within 40 days of the date of the first publication of this notice, namely, the 12th day of April 1969, to the Hawera County Council, 33 Princes Street, Hawera.

NOTE—In the event of any objections being received a public hearing of the objections will be held, unless any objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing. At the hearing of any objections the objector will be advised of the reasons for the proposed taking of land.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

CERTIFIED copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 2nd day of April 1969:

“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of forty-eight thousand five hundred dollars ($48,500) to be known as the Redemption Loan No. 48, 1969, $48,500, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of Street Lighting Improvement Loan 1950, $500,000, and Redemption Loan No. 5, 1963, $87,000, which mature on 1 May 1969, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought five five nine (.0559) of a cent in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property (of Auckland City), comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”
