WAIMATE COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

“THAT, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimate County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of $41,000 authorised to be raised by the Waimate County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing and maintaining water races and supplying water for the Otaio - Makikihi Water Race District, such loan to be known as the Otaio - Makikihi Water Race Loan 1968, the said Waimate County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.019c in the dollar upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property over the whole of the County of Waimate; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 15th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years or until the loan is fully paid”.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Waimate County Council held on the 24th day of February 1969.

ROXBURGH BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Motor Camp Loan 1968—$20,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Roxburgh Borough Council hereby resolved as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $20,000 authorised to be raised by the Roxburgh Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of building a new service block and cabins at the said Council’s motor camp, the said Roxburgh Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.01708c in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of annual value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Roxburgh, comprising the whole of the Borough of Roxburgh; and that the special rate be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be repayable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Roxburgh Borough Council at a meeting held on 18 March 1969.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF PROPOSALS TO STOP PIECES OF ROAD

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, public notice is hereby given that the Franklin County Council proposes, pursuant to section 148 of the Public Works Act 1928, to stop those pieces of roads, situated in the Village of Drury, Parish of Opaheke, known as Creek Street, South Street, Cross Street, and Quay Street, described in the Schedule hereto.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the pieces of road so proposed to be stopped is deposited in the public office of the clerk to the Franklin County Council, situated in Roulston Street, Pukekohe, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons who may wish to make any objections to the above proposal to stop the said pieces of road must set forth their objections, in writing, and send the same to the County Clerk at the office of the Franklin County Council, Roulston Street, Pukekohe, within 40 days from the 27th day of March 1969, being the day of the first publication of this notice. If any objections are received by the Franklin County Council, as aforesaid, a public notice shall be published calling a meeting of the ratepayers of the district, such meeting to be held at a time and place to be specified in the said notice, the time so specified being not earlier than 14 days after the date of publication of the notice, pursuant to the said section of the Public Works Act 1928.

NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL

PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, that the New Plymouth City Council does not now require the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto for the public work for which the said land was held, namely, for the purposes of an aerodrome; that the New Plymouth City Council wishes to cause the said land to be sold, subject to the conditions imposed by sections 35, 36, 37, and 38 of the said Public Works Act 1928; and that the New Plymouth City Council wishes to lay before the Governor-General a memorial, pursuant to section 35 (1) (a) of the said Act, to cause the said land to be sold.

All persons affected are required to set forth in writing any objection to the above proposals and to send written objection to the Council, within forty (40) days from the 20th day of March 1969, being the date of the first publication of this notice.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land containing 289 acres and 20 perches, more or less, situated in Blocks II and III, Paritutu Survey District, being Sections No. 74, 75, 76, and 145 and part of Sections No. 73, 77, 78B, and 79 on the public map of the Waitara West District, part of the Kaipakopako No. I Block
