AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


CERTIFIED copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 5th day of March 1969:

“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-nine thousand eight hundred dollars ($29,800) to be known as the Redemption Loan No. 49, 1969, $29,800, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of Waterworks Loan 1953, $666,000, which matures on 1 May 1969, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought one nought seven (.0107) of a cent in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property (of Auckland City) comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HUNTLY BOROUGH COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Huntly Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan of $20,000 authorised to be raised by the Huntly Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending and improving the borough water supply, the said Huntly Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought six eight cents in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Huntly; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Lower Waikato - Waipa Flood Control Scheme (Section “B”)

Loan 1968—$92,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $92,000 authorised to be raised by the Raglan County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting Council’s share of the Lower Waikato - Waipa Flood Control Scheme—Scheme “B”, the said Raglan County Council hereby makes a special rate on a graduated scale, according to the classification list of the lower Waikato - Waipa Flood Control Scheme—Section “B”—Raglan County sector, as follows:

72c per acre on class A land

54c per acre on class B land

36c per acre on class C land

12c per acre on class D land

7.2c per acre on class E land

4.8c per acre on class F land

and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be paid yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of 25 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

GISBORNE CITY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Renewal Loan No. 3, 1968, of $80,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Gisborne City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $80,000 authorised to be raised by the Gisborne City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Waterworks Pipeline Loan 1962, of $440,000, and the Sewerage Loan 1960, of $800,000, which matured on 1 December 1968 and portion of the Waterworks Renewal Loan 1962, of $251,600, which matured on 4 March 1969, the said Gisborne City Council hereby makes a special rate of forty-six one thousandths of a cent (0.046c) in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the City of Gisborne; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Gisborne City Council held on 18 March 1969.

NELSON CITY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Nelson City Council hereby resolves that, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of $49,400, to be known as the Stoke Sewerage Renewal Loan No. 4, 1969, authorised to be raised by the Nelson City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Stoke Sewerage Loan 1958—$320,000 which matures on 1 May 1969, the Nelson City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.03364c in the dollar upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all the rateable property in the City of Nelson, comprising the whole of the said city; and such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 15th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years or until such loan is paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed by the Nelson City Council at a meeting held in the City Council Chambers, Trafalgar Square, Nelson, on the 20th day of March 1969.
