NOTICE is hereby given that the land in the part of the Southland Catchment District described in the Schedule hereto has been classified under the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, and the classification is deemed a valid classification as from the date on which this notice is first published, namely 17 March 1969.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

CERTIFIED copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 5th day of March 1969:

“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of two hundred and forty-two thousand eight hundred dollars ($242,800) to be known as the Redemption Loan No. 47, 1969, $242,800, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Avondale Drainage Loan 1957, $508,000; Purchase of Properties Loan 1956, $300,000; Destructor Loan, 1960, $470,000; and Western Springs Stadium Loan 1962, $93,400, which mature on 1 May 1969, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought six eight five (.0685) of a cent in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property (of Auckland City), comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of eighty-one thousand dollars ($81,000) to be known as the Redemption Loan No. 46, 1969, $81,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of General Purposes Loan 1956, $568,000, and Tram Track Removal Loan 1956, $400,000, which mature on 15 April 1969, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought two six three (.0263) of a cent in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property (of Auckland City), comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HOWICK BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Howick Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $20,000 (twenty thousand dollars) authorised to be raised by the Howick Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing footpaths, the said Howick Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of .02924 (decimal nought two nine two four) cents in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Howick; and the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
