The Traffic (Otamatea County) Notice No. 1, 1969


PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.


NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Otamatea County) Notice No. 1, 1969.
  2. The road specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
  4. The warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 3rd day of April 1958†, which relates to No. 12 State Highway (Ohaeawai-Maungaturoto via Dargaville) (formerly Dargaville-Maungaturoto State Highway No. 3) at Ruawai, in Otamatea County, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Otamatea County, at Ruawai:

No. 12 State Highway (Ohaeawai-Maungaturoto via Dargaville) (from a point 20 chains measured easterly generally along the said State highway from Wharf Road to a point 30 chains measured northerly generally along the said State highway from Cobham Street).


SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Otamatea County, at Ruawai:

No. 12 State Highway (Ohaeawai-Maungaturoto via Dargaville) (from a point 20 chains measured easterly generally along the said State highway from Wharf Road to a point 2 chains measured easterly generally along the said State highway from Robertsons Road, and from a point 30 chains measured northerly generally along the said State highway from Cobham Street to a point 12 chains measured westerly generally along the said State highway from Dunns Road.

THIS notice may be cited as the Traffic (Rangiora County) Notice No. 1, 1969.

The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956.
The warrant under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956
, dated the 10th day of February 1967†, which relates to Woodend, in Rangiora County, is hereby revoked.

  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purpose of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

SITUATED within Invercargill City, adjacent to Southland County:

Rochdale Road (from the Invercargill City boundary to a point 4 chains measured southerly generally along the said road from Tweed Street).
No. 92 State Highway (Balclutha-Invercargill) (from the Invercargill City boundary to a point 8 chains measured easterly generally along the said highway from Brown Street).
West Plains Road (from the Invercargill City boundary to Gloucester Street).

Cancellation of the Vesting in the Palmerston North City Council and Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve


PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Palmerston North and revokes the reservation for recreation purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.
