(i) This Proclamation may be cited as the Waipu River Mouth Wildlife Refuge Declaration.
(ii) This Proclamation shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette. -
The area described in the Schedule to this Proclamation is hereby declared to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953.

SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the southernmost corner of Allotment 397A, Waipu Parish, in Block III, Waipu Survey District, and proceeding north-westerly along the south-western boundary of that Allotment 397A for a distance of 10 chains; thence due east across that allotment and the foreshore to and south-easterly along the low-water mark spring tide of Bream Bay, crossing the intervening Waipu River mouth, to a point due east of the southernmost corner of Allotment 282, Waipu Parish; thence due west to and north-westerly along the south-western bank of the lagoon forming the south-western boundary of part Allotment 398A, Waipu Parish, to and westerly along the southern bank of the Waipu River to the north-eastern corner of the public road forming the northern boundary of the land shown on D.P. 7143; thence due north across the Waipu River to and easterly along the northern bank of that river to the point of commencement. Area, 310 acres, more or less, as shown on a plan marked I.A. 46/29/429 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 25th day of February 1969.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 10th day of March 1969.
