Declaring Land to be Crown Land

ARTHUR PORRITT, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 265 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, being satisfied that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been vested in the Crown, hereby declare the said land to be Crown land, and to be subject to the Land Act 1948.

SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land situated in Block XII, Maungamangero Survey District, and Block IX, Otanake Survey District, and described as follows:

A. R. P. Being
4 3 0 Kinohaku East 4B2A Block; as shown, edged red, on M.L. Plan 7771.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 19th day of February 1969.

Declaring Moutoki, Rurima, and Tokata Islands and Adjacent Rocks in the Bay of Plenty to be a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting on the joint recommendation of the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Minister of Marine (being the Minister charged with the administration of the Department of State having the control of the land of the Crown affected by this Proclamation), hereby proclaim as follows:

  1. (i) This Proclamation may be cited as the Moutoki, Rurima, and Tokata Islands and Adjacent Rocks Wildlife Refuge Declaration.

(ii) This Proclamation shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

  1. The area described in the Schedule to this Proclamation is hereby declared to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953.

SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

MOUTOKI, Rurima, and Tokata Islands and rocks adjacent thereto, situated in the Bay of Plenty, together with the foreshore down to the ordinary spring low-water mark: area 39ΒΌ acres, more or less. As shown on a plan marked I.A. 46/29/317 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 19th day of February 1969.

Revoking Part of a Proclamation Declaring Areas in the Otago Acclimatisation District to be Wildlife Refuges

ARTHUR PORRITT, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting on the joint recommendation of the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Minister of Lands (being the Minister charged with the administration of the Department State having the control of the land of the Crown affected by this Proclamation), hereby revoke that part of the Proclamation issued on the 11th day of May 1957* declaring the areas of land in the Otago Acclimatisation District described in the Schedule hereto to be wildlife refuges for the purposes of the Wildlife Act 1953.

SCHEDULE

GOAT Island and Quarantine Island, situated in Otago Harbour.

As the same are shown on plan marked I.A. 52/358 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 19th day of February 1969.
