PURSUANT to section 16 of the New Zealand Army Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Army :

ROYAL REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY

Regular Force

2nd Lieutenant D. T. Weston to be Lieutenant. Dated 11 October 1968.

Officer Cadet James Cameron Brown to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 7 December 1968.

Territorial Force

3rd Field Regiment, RNZA

Major (acting Lieutenant-Colonel) J. R. Gregory to be temp. Lieutenant-Colonel. Dated 1 September 1967.

Captain A. G. Young, from the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, 3rd Field Regiment, RNZA, to be Captain. Dated 22 December 1967.

ROYAL N.Z. ARMOURED CORPS

Regular Force

Captain (temp. Major) D. H. Crabb is re-engaged for the period 17 April 1969 to 16 August 1969.

2nd Lieutenant D. S. Glendinning to be Lieutenant. Dated 1 October 1968.

Captain (temp. Major) Ian Richard Lambeth, ED., relinquishes the appointment of OC and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, Royal N.Z. Armoured Corps, in the rank of Major. Dated 1 December 1968.

Officer Cadet Bernard Robert Dodson to be 2nd Lieutenant, with seniority from 5 April 1968. Dated 20 November 1968.

William John Samuel Eddy to be Honorary Lieutenant and is appointed Director of Music. Dated 17 September 1968.

7th Battalion (Wellington (City of Wellington's Own) and Hawke's Bay), RNZIR

2nd Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant) D. N. L. Randle to be Lieutenant. Dated 1 May 1968.

Lieutenant David Neil Lawrence Randle is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, Royal N.Z. Infantry Regiment, in the rank of Lieutenant. Dated 2 November 1968.

5th Battalion (Wellington West Coast and Taranaki), RNZIR

Lieutenant-Colonel William Dickson Meldrum, M.B., CH.B., F.F.A.R.C.S., from the Reserve of Officers, General List, Royal N.Z. Army Medical Corps, is granted a short-service commission for a period of 3 months, in the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Dated 2 December 1968.

Evan Robert McKenzie, M.B., CH.B., F.R.C.S., is granted a short-service commission for a period of 3 months in the rank of Major. Dated 25 November 1968.

2nd Lieutenant R. K. Smith to be Lieutenant. Dated 22 February 1968.

Charge Sister (temp. Matron) Sylvia Pearl Frame, DIP.N., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, Royal N.Z. Nursing Corps, in the rank of Matron. Dated 19 December 1968.

Sister C. M. Dickason is re-engaged for the period 21 December 1968 to 20 December 1969.

Territorial Force

The notice published in the Gazette, 28 November 1968, No. 78, p. 2190, relating to the appointment of Alys Lynette Cameron, is hereby cancelled and the following substituted:

"Alys Lynette Cameron to be Staff Nurse, with seniority from 30 November 1967, and is posted to the 2nd General Hospital, RNZAMC. Dated 11 October 1968."
