SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS
(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960 and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
(2) The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of February 1968.
(3) The premium payable by the licensee shall be ten dollars ($10) and the annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be twenty dollars ($20).

Revoking Appointment of, and Appointing, Licensing Authorities for Issue of Heavy Traffic Licences


PURSUANT to subclause (2) of regulation 18 of the Motor Vehicle Taxation Regulations 1966*, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes those parts of the Warrant dated 2 March 1967† appointing the local authorities described in column 1 of the First Schedule as the Licensing Authorities for the purpose of collecting heavy traffic fees due under the said regulations for the district of the local authority and for such areas as are described in column 2 of the First Schedule hereto, and hereby appoints as from 1 April 1968 the local authorities described in column 1 of the Second Schedule hereto to be the Licensing Authorities for the purpose of collecting heavy traffic fees due under the said regulations for the district of the respective local authority and for such other area or areas as are described in column 2 of the Second Schedule opposite the respective name of the said local authority:

Provided that the Commissioner of Transport shall be the Licensing Authority in the case of all heavy motor vehicles owned by the Crown as provided by subclause (1) of the said regulation.

The Traffic (Ekatahuna Borough) Notice 1968


PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.


NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Ekatahuna Borough) Notice 1968.
  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
  4. The Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956* dated the 28th day of November 1957† which relates to the Woodville-Masterton State Highway No. 31 in Ekatahuna Borough and so much of the Warrant under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936 dated the 6th day of October 1937‡ as relates to the Ekatahuna-Nireaha Main Highway No. 477 in Ekatahuna Borough is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Ekatahuna Borough:

No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) (from a point 6 chains measured northerly generally along the said State highway from Alfredton Road to the southern boundary of Ekatahuna Borough and from the northern boundary of Ekatahuna Borough to a point 14 chains measured northerly generally along the said State highway from Bridge Street).

Cullen Street.

High Street (from Cullen Street to Simpson Street).

Septimus Street (from High Street to the Western Boundary of Ekatahuna Borough).

Stanley Street (from Cullen Street to Simpson Street).


SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Ekatahuna Borough:

No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) (from a point 14 chains measured northerly generally along the said State Highway from Bridge Street to Edward Street).

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown Land, subject to the Land Act 1948, as from the 26th day of February 1968.
