NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT 1928

NOTICE is hereby given that the Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the County of Chatham Islands require to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a public work, namely, a road:

Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said lands, No. S.O. 24451, is open to inspection by all persons at the following places:

  1. The office of the Chatham Islands County Council, Waitangi, Chatham Islands;

  2. The offices of Messrs Macalister, Mazengarb, Parkin, and Rose, Solicitors, 21 Brandon Street, Wellington.

Every person affected by such taking is hereby called upon to set forth, in writing, any objection he may wish to make to the taking of the said lands, or any of them, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, and to send such written objection, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk, Chatham Islands County Council, Waitangi, Chatham Islands.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO STOP PORTIONS OF ROAD

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a road; and for the purposes of that public work, the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto are required to be stopped. And further notice is hereby given that a plan of the portion of road required to be stopped is deposited in the office of the Tauranga County Council, Barke's Corner, Cameron Road, Tauranga, and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the stopping of the said portions of road should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or the stopping of the said portions of road, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same, in writing, and send the written objection, within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Tauranga County Council, at Tauranga; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the Council meeting at which the hearing will be held.

AUCKLAND REGIONAL AUTHORITY

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Drainage Loan No. 51, 1968-$150,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963, the Auckland Regional Authority has resolved to the following effect:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $150,000 authorised to be raised under the above-mentioned Acts for the purposes of meeting the final costs of the Manukau scheme of main drainage, the Auckland Regional Authority hereby makes a special rate of the several amounts in the dollar set out in the fourth column of the Schedule hereto on the rateable values set against such amounts respectively in the third column of such Schedule of all rateable property of the local authorities listed in the first column of such Schedule and set out against such amounts and rateable values respectively; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, which shall, at the lender's option, be for periods of 6, 10, and 20 years from the 1st day of October 1968 or until the loan is fully paid off."
