Temporary measure, taken on 6 December 1968:
Armoured suction and delivery hoses of internal diameters up to 6 in., suited for the conveyance of oil products, deleted from the exemption from import licensing under item code 50.200 and given a “C” category, applications for licence to be considered in the light of the availability of suitable hose of New Zealand origin.
Terms of reference to Board:
To inquire into and report whether any new or increased duty is necessary in respect of these goods, and to include in its inquiry import licensing as affecting these goods.
SCHEDULE F
Screwdrivers, fixed handle, with straight blades, designed for slotted or “Philips” head screws, in blade sizes from 1½ in. to 15 in. inclusive and with blade thickness (round or square shank) from ⅛ in. to ⅞ in. inclusive; sets comprising any of the foregoing, classified in Tariff item 82.04.04, which reads as follows:

Tariff and Development Board Notice No. 81—Public Inquiry into Import Duties and Import Licensing Affecting Certain Preparations Based on Trichlorfon
- The Tariff and Development Board proposes to inquire into and report on the question of whether a determination, under the terms of Tariff item 38.11.24, should be made in respect of certain preparations based on Trichlorfon, and, if so, what rates of duty should be imposed on these goods. The goods in question are covered by the following Tariff provisions:

Preparations which are based on Trichlorfon and which are insecticides for agricultural purposes are at present entitled to be entered free of duty under Tariff item 38.11.25.

The inquiry will also include import licensing as affecting the goods.

For the purpose of taking evidence on this subject, the Board will hold a public inquiry commencing on Tuesday, 25 March 1969, at 10.30 a.m., in the Boardroom, First Floor, New Zealand Law Society Building, 26 Waring Taylor Street, Wellington.

Any person who intends to tender evidence should comply with the “Notes for Guidance of Witnesses”, which have been prepared by the Board. A copy of these notes may be obtained from the under-named.

Twelve copies of a typewritten statement of the evidence to be tendered, compiled in accordance with these notes, should be lodged with the under-named not later than Tuesday, 11 March 1969. Each statement will need to be presented, under oath, at the public inquiry by the person tendering it.
