A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Canterbury Education Board as a site for a school, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every education trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same, at the date hereof.

Approving the Term of a Licence Granted to Kaniere Hokitika Sawmills Ltd. for a Tramway Along Gibson Quay in the Borough of Hokitika

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Tramways Act 1908 and the Tramways Amendment Act 1910, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves the term of the licence granted for a period of 21 years, from the 15th day of January 1966, by the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Hokitika to Kaniere Hokitika Sawmills Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Hokitika, authorising the said company to lay down, construct, and maintain a private tramway on and along that portion of Gibson Quay in the Borough of Hokitika extending from the eastern side of the town belt east to a point on a projection of the eastern side of Fitzherbert Street.

Authorising a Secondary Use of Land in Block II, Takapau Survey District, Rotorua County, and Vesting the Control and Management Thereof in the Rotorua County Council

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 37 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.


ORDER
(a) It is hereby authorised that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being land held primarily for the development of water power (Lake Taupo and the Waikato River power scheme), be applied also for recreational purposes, which shall be a secondary use of the said land.
(b) Part II of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953 shall apply to the said land.
(c) The control and management of the said land is hereby vested in the Rotorua County Council.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land containing 12 acres 1 rood 18 perches situated in Block II, Takapau Survey District, being part Lot 1, D.P. 31480, and being part Kaingaroa No. 2 West No. 1 Block; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 22487 (S.O. 44484) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Authorising Wellington Harbour Board to Reclaim Land in Wellington Harbour

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 185 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Wellington Harbour Board to reclaim from Wellington Harbour in the Thorndon wharf development an area of 6.05 acres, more or less, as shown, coloured solid red, on plan M.D. 13109 deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington; provided that the construction of the reclamation is carried out in accordance with plan marked M.D. 13109 deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, and in the manner prescribed by the said Act; the work authorised by this order to be completed within a period of 3 years from the date of this order.

Exempting Land in the Nelson Land District from the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

PURSUANT to the Coal Mines Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General gives the following notice.


NOTICE
THE land described in the Schedule hereto is exempted from the operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925.


SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land containing 20 perches, more or less, being part of Section No. 89 (eighty-nine), delineated on the public map of the Town of Denniston, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Nelson, and comprised in certificate of title, Volume 35, folio 260, save and excepting for Her Majesty the Queen all seams or beds of coal and all other minerals and metals, and reserving to Her Majesty the Queen and all persons lawfully entitled to work the said coal, minerals, and metals a right of ingress, egress, and regress under the said land.

Witnessed the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 7th day of November 1968.
