CITY OF PORIRUA

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioner Housing Loan 1968—$76,000

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Porirua City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of $76,000 authorised to be raised by the Porirua City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the Pensioner Housing Loan 1968, the said Porirua City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0257c in the dollar on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the whole of the City of Porirua; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 40 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

I certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Porirua City Council held on 30 October 1968.

BOROUGH OF OAMARU

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Redemption Loan 1968—$106,200

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Oamaru Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $106,200 authorised to be raised by the Oamaru Borough Council pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of repaying that portion of the Borough Development Loan 1958 which matures on 1 November 1968, the said Oamaru Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.017202c in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Oamaru; and that the said special rate shall be paid annually on the 1st day of July in each year and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Oamaru Borough Council held on Tuesday, 29 October 1968.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO STOP PORTIONS OF LAND

Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a road; and, for the purpose of that public work, the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto are required to be stopped. And further notice is hereby given that a plan of the portion of road required to be stopped is deposited in the office of the Tauranga County Council, Barke’s Corner, Cameron Road, Tauranga, and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work, or the stopping of the said portions of road, should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or the stopping of the said portions of road, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same, in writing, and send the written objection, within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Tauranga County Council at Tauranga; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the Council meeting at which the hearing will be held.

WAIKOUAITI COUNTY TOWN OF THE COUNTY OF WAIKOUAITI

DECLARATION OF RESULT OF A POLL

Pursuant to section 16 of the Rating Act 1967, I hereby give notice that, at a poll of ratepayers of the Waikouaiti County Town, taken on Saturday, 2 November 1968, on a proposal that the system of rating in the said county town be changed from the capital value system to the unimproved value system:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 189

The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 265

The number of informal votes was nil

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

COUNTY OF RODNEY

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL

Pursuant to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Wellsford County Town, which also constitutes the Wellsford Riding of the county, taken on the 12th day of October 1968, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $233,000, to be known as the Wellsford Sewerage Loan 1968, for the purpose of the installation of sewerage reticulation and treatment for Wellsford, resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 356

The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 46

The number of informal votes was 13

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL

WARKWORTH ANGLICAN BURIAL GROUND BILL

Notice is hereby given that the General Trust Board of the Diocese of Auckland proposes to introduce a Private Bill to the House of Representatives to promote the uplifting of the trust created by conveyance No. 6772B as to Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 59867, Parish of Mahurangi, so that the Warkworth Anglican Burial Ground may be divided upon deposit in the Land Transfer Office at Auckland, of a plan of subdivision of Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 59867, Parish of Mahurangi, into two parts, one such part as yet unused for interments of the dead to be used for residential purposes, and the other part to remain as a burial ground.

Further, upon the deposit of the plan of subdivision aforementioned, all unpaid rates levied by the Warkworth Town Council for the years 1964–65, 1965–66, 1966–67, and 1967–68 upon Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 59867, Parish of Mahurangi, shall be remitted.

The address for service of any communications or notices in relation hereto shall be at the offices of Messrs Hesketh and Richmond, Solicitors, Norwich Union Building, Queen Street, Auckland 1.

Copies of the Bill are available to the public for inspection without fee during normal office hours at the offices of Messrs Hesketh and Richmond, solicitors, Norwich Union Building, Queen Street, Auckland 1.
