PURSUANT to section 76 of the Electric Power Boards Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

This order may be cited as the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board Empowering Order 1968.

The Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board is hereby authorised to enter into a contract with the Raetihi Borough Council to purchase the electrical undertaking of the Raetihi Borough Council.

This order shall be subject to the provisions of the Electricity Distribution Commission Act 1967, and shall take effect, subject to the provisions of that Act, and of any final scheme made thereunder, and nothing in this order shall be construed as limiting the powers of the Electricity Distribution Commission.

Exempting Lands in the Westland Land District from the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

PURSUANT to the Coal Mines Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General gives the following notice.
NOTICE
THE lands described in the Schedule hereto are exempted from the operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land containing 1 rood 30.4 perches, more or less, being Rural Section 3480, situated in Block II, Mawheranui Survey District, and comprised in certificate of title, Volume 2D, folio 422, as described in S.O. Plan 2291; save and excepting for Her Majesty the Queen all seams or beds of coal and all other minerals and metals, and reserving to Her Majesty the Queen, and all persons lawfully entitled to work the said coal, minerals, and metals, a right of ingress, egress, and regress under the said land.
All that area of land containing 1 rood, more or less, being Lot 233, D.P. 1508, being part Section 3, Block II, Mawheranui Survey District, and comprised in part of certificate of title, Volume 2B, folio 408; save and excepting for Her Majesty the Queen all seams or beds of coal and all other minerals and metals, and reserving to Her Majesty the Queen, and all persons lawfully entitled to work the said coal, minerals, and metals, a right of ingress, egress, and regress under the said land.
All that area of land containing 34.3 perches, more or less, being Lot 4, D.P. 1268, being part Section 1, Block II, Mawheranui Survey District, and comprised as part certificate of title, Volume 1A, folio 519; save and excepting for Her Majesty the Queen all seams or beds of coal and all other minerals and metals, and reserving to Her Majesty the Queen, and all persons lawfully entitled to work the said coal, minerals, and metals, a right of ingress, egress, and regress under the said land.
All that area of land containing 36.3 perches, more or less, being Lot 5, D.P. 1268, being part Section 1, Block II, Mawheranui Survey District, and part Reserve 1070, situated in Block II, Mawheranui Survey District, and comprised as part of certificate of title, Volume 1A, folio 519; save and excepting for Her Majesty the Queen all seams or beds of coal and all other minerals and metals, and reserving to Her Majesty the Queen, and all persons lawfully entitled to work the said coal, minerals, and metals, a right of ingress, egress, and regress under the said land.
