being part of the rate authorised by section 8 of the Bluff
Harbour Improvement Act 1952; and that the special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the
loan and be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of June
and the 30th day of December in each and every year
during the currency of the loan, being a period of 26Β½
years or until the loan is fully paid off.
The foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting
of the Southland Harbour Board held on the 1st day of
October 1968.

CITY OF PORIRUA
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Approved District Scheme Confirmed, With Approved Changes
PUBLIC notice is hereby given, pursuant to the Town and
Country Planning Regulations 1960, that the district scheme
under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for the City
of Porirua was confirmed, with changes No. 1 and No. 2, by
resolution of the Council of the said city passed at a meeting
held on 1 October 1968, there being no objections lodged
against the said changes.
The Council has also resolved that the district scheme,
with the changes incorporated therein, shall come into operation
on the 1st day of November 1968.
Copies of the district scheme as confirmed, with the said
changes, have been deposited in the Council's offices, Hagley
Street, Porirua, and may be inspected, without fee, by any
person who so requires at any time when that office is open
to the public.

NOTICE is hereby given that the land in the Bay of Plenty
Catchment Area, being the catchment of the Whakatane River,
described in the Schedule hereto has been designated and
assigned the distinguishing name of the "Whakatane River
Major Scheme Special Rating District".
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the South Auckland and Gisborne Land
Districts, Whakatane and Opotiki Counties and Whakatane
Borough, bounded by a line commencing on the shore of the
Bay of Plenty at a point in line with the western boundary
of Lot 1, D.P. S. 9501, in Block V, Awaateatua Survey District, and proceeding southerly to and along that boundary
and the western boundaries of part Lot 1, D.P. 28773, and
Lot 2, D.P. 10349, and the last-mentioned boundary produced
to the northern boundary of part Allotment 65, Rangitaiki
Parish (D.P. 20909); thence westerly generally along that
boundary and the generally northern boundary of Lot 2, D.P.
34056, to the easternmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 34056; thence
along a right line to and along the eastern boundary of Allot-
ment 7, Rangitaiki Parish, and south-westerly generally along
the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of that allot-

River to Trig. Station 2128, Whakataka, on the south-eastern
boundary of Block I, Waikaremoana West Survey District;
thence north-easterly generally along the south-eastern water-
shed of the Whakatane River to Trig. Station 2126, Maunga-
porohatu, in Block XII, Ruatahuna Survey District; thence
northerly generally along the eastern watershed of the Tau-
ranga and Waimana Rivers to Trig. Station 2114, Pukemore-
more, in Block X, Whakatane Survey District; thence north-
erly generally along the eastern watershed of the Whakatane
River to the shore of the Bay of Plenty in Block II, Whaka-
tane Survey District; thence westerly along that shore to the
point of commencement.
