right line to and along the western boundaries of Lots 13, 14,
and 15, D.P. 21102, Lot 3, D.P. S. 4078 and part Lot 2, D.P.'s
21103 and 21104 to the southernmost corner of part Tihoi 4c
1B; thence south-westerly along a right line to Trig. Station
1126, Marotiri, in Block XII, Marotiri Survey District, and
south-westerly along another right line to the north-western
corner of Tihoi 3R 1 in Block XVI, Marotiri Survey District;
thence southerly down the middle of the Te Mapu Stream
to the generally northern shore of Lake Taupo; thence westerly
generally along that lake shore to the southernmost corner
of Tihoi No. 1 in Block XIV, Marotiri Survey District, being
a point on the boundary of Taupo County, as described in
Gazette, 1968, p. 801; thence northerly generally and easterly
generally along that county boundary to the point of
commencement, excluding therefrom the Mangakino Riding,
as described in Gazette, 1962, p. 1165.
TATUA RIDING
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Taupo
County bounded by a line commencing at a point in the
middle of the Waikato River in Block IX, Atiamuri Survey
District, in line with the western boundary of part Lot 1, D.P.
21101, and proceeding generally easterly, southerly, and then
westerly up the middle of the said river to a point in Block
XIV, Tatua Survey District, in line with the north-eastern
boundary of Section 13, Block X, Tatua Survey District; thence
along a right line to and along that boundary, along a right line
across a public road, to and along the north-eastern boundaries
of parts Section 9 of the said Block X, crossing the intervening
State Highway No. 5, and along that last-named
boundary produced to the middle of a public road; thence
southerly along the middle of that road to a point in line
with the north-western boundary of Section 2 of Block X,
aforesaid; thence south-westerly along a right line, to and
along that north-western boundary and its production to the
middle of the Oruanui-Taupo Road; thence southerly along
the middle of that road to a point in line with the north-
western boundary of part Wairakei Block, as shown on D.P.
25307, and along a right line to and along that north-western
boundary and the western boundaries of Oruamuturangi
Block and Rangitira No. 2 to the north-eastern corner of part
Section 2, Block IV, Tuwingamata East Survey District; thence
westerly along the northern boundaries of the said part Section
2 and part Section 1, Block II, Tuwingamata East Survey
District, and that last-mentioned boundary produced to the
middle of a line of road shown on S.O. Plan 21342; thence
southerly generally along the middle of the said line of
road, to and generally south-westerly along the middle of
another line of road, shown on S.O. Plan 23376, to the
intersection of the northern boundary of Oruanui South B;
thence westerly along a right line to and along the said
northern boundary to the shores of Lake Taupo; thence
westerly along the lake shore to the Te Mapu Stream; thence
northerly generally along the eastern boundary of the Poua-
kani Riding, hereinbefore described, to the point of commence-
ment.
TAUHARA RIDING
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Taupo
County bounded by a line commencing at the confluence of
the Waikato River and the Parariki Stream in Block XII,
Tatua Survey District, and proceeding generally southerly,
along the middle of the said Parariki Stream, to and generally
south-westerly along the generally south-eastern boundary of
part Tauhara North Block to and generally westerly, generally
south-easterly, and generally south-westerly along the generally
northern, generally south-western, and generally north-western
boundaries of part Tauhara Middle 4A 2 Block to the northern-
most corner of part Tauhara Middle No. 4 Block (Permanent
State Forest, Gazette, 1931, p. 3412); thence generally south-
westerly along the generally north-western boundary of the
last-mentioned block and its production to the middle of the
Waitahanui Stream; thence up the middle of that stream to
the north-eastern boundary of part Tauhara South A. Block;
thence generally north-westerly along that boundary and the
generally north-eastern boundary of part Tauhara South B.
Block; crossing the intervening national State Highway No. 1,
to the eastern shore of Lake Taupo; thence generally northerly
along that lake shore, to and generally easterly, generally
northerly, and generally south-westerly along the boundaries of
the Borough of Taupo, as described in Gazette 1968, p. 801 to
and again generally south-westerly and generally north-westerly
along the aforesaid lake shore, to the westernmost point of
Oruanui South B. Block; thence easterly, along the northern
boundary of that block, to the middle of a line of road shown
on S.O. Plan 23376; thence generally north-easterly along
the middle of the said line of road to and generally northerly
along the middle of another line of road shown on S.O. Plan
21342 to a point in line with the northern boundary of part
Section 1, Block II, Tuwingamata East Survey District; thence
easterly along a right line to and along the said boundary
and the northern boundary of part Section 2, Block IV,
Tuwingamata East Survey District, to and generally northerly
along that generally western boundaries of Rangitira No. 2
Block and Oruamuturangi Block, to and generally north-
easterly along the generally north-western boundary of part
Wairakei Block, as shown on D.P. 25307, and that boundary
produced to the middle of the Oruanui-Taupo Road; thence
generally north-westerly along the middle of that road to a
point in line with the north-western boundary of part Section
2, Block X, Tatua Survey District; thence north-easterly along
a right line to and along the said boundary and its production
to the middle of a closed road; thence northerly along the
middle of that closed road to a point in line with the north-
eastern boundary of part Section 9, Block X, Tatua Survey
District, as shown on S.O. Plan 38648; thence south-easterly
along a right line to and along the said north-eastern boundary
crossing the intervening national State Highways No. 1 and 5,
to and across a public road, to and along the north-eastern
boundary of Section 13, Block X, aforesaid, and that boundary
produced to the middle of the Waikato River; thence generally
north-easterly down the middle of that river to the point of
commencement.
KAINGAROA RIDING
ALL that area in the South Auckland and Hawke's Bay Land
Districts, Taupo County, bounded by a line commencing at
the junction of the middle line of the Waikato River with
the production of the middle line of the Paetataroma Stream
in Block IX, Takapau Survey District, and proceeding generally
easterly, southerly, and westerly along the boundary of Taupo
County, hereinbefore described, to a point in the middle of
the Oamaru Stream in line with the south-western boundary
of Tapapa No. 3; thence north-easterly down the middle of
the said Oamaru Stream to a point in line with the eastern
boundary of Kaimanawa No. 1A; thence generally northerly
to and along the said eastern boundary of Kaimanawa
No. 1A and the eastern boundary of Kaimanawa No. 1B
to the westernmost corner of Kaimanawa 1C situated in
Block V, Maruanui Survey District; thence north-easterly
along the north-western boundaries of Kaimanawa 1C, the
Patehe Block, and Wharetoto B. to the south-western
side of a public road, along a right line to and north-
easterly along the north-western boundaries of Wharetoto
B. and Wharetoto No. 8 to the southernmost corner of
part Tauhara Middle No. 4; thence north-westerly along
the south-western boundary of the said part Tauhara
Middle No. 4 and the production of that boundary to the
middle of Waitahanui Stream; thence generally north-westerly
down the middle of that stream to a point in line with the
north-western boundary of part Tauhara Middle No. 4; thence
north-easterly to and along the north-western boundary of
the said part Tauhara Middle No. 4; thence generally
northerly, easterly, and south-easterly along the generally
western, northern, and north-eastern boundaries of part of
Tauhara Middle No. 4A 2, crossing the intervening No. 5
State Highway, to the westernmost corner of part Lot 28,
D.P. 29249; thence north-easterly along the north-western
boundaries of part Lot 28, aforesaid, and Lot 1, D.P. S.
8748, to the south-eastern side of Rotokawa Road; thence
along a right line to and north-easterly along the north-
western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 29248, aforesaid, to and
north-westerly along the south-western boundary of Lot 2,
[D.P. 29248, and that boundary produced to the middle
of the Parariki Stream; thence generally north-westerly
down the middle of that stream and that middle line
produced to the middle of the Waikato River; thence easterly
down the middle of the said Waikato River to the point of
commencement.
RANGITOTO RIDING
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Taupo
County, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the
eastern shore of Lake Taupo in Block XIII, Tauhara Survey
District, being the south-western corner of part Tauhara
Middle 4A 2, and running generally easterly and then southerly
along the southern boundary of the Tauhara Riding, as
hereinbefore described, the generally south-western boundary
of the Kaingaroa Riding, as hereinbefore described, to the
middle of the Ngaruroro River; thence north-westerly generally
up the middle of that river to a point in Block V, Ahipaepae
Survey District, in line with the western boundary of part
Kaimanawa 1A; thence along a right line to and along that
boundary, along the southern and western boundaries of
Kaimanawa 1B, and along the southern and south-western
boundaries of Tauranga Taupo 3A and the south-western
boundary of Tauranga Taupo 2A to a point in line with the
south-western boundary of Tauranga Taupo 1A; thence along
a right line across the Tauranga Taupo River to and along
that last-mentioned boundary and the south-western boundaries
of Tauranga Taupo 1B 1 and 1B 2, crossing the intervening
stream, road lines, and State Highway No. 1, to the shores
of Lake Taupo; thence north-easterly, along those shores
to the point of commencement.
TONGARIRO RIDING
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District being portion
of the County of Taupo bounded by a line commencing at a
point in the middle of the mouth of the Waihi Stream in line
with the western shore of Lake Taupo in Block V, Puketi
S.D., and proceeding generally easterly along the western
and generally southern shores of Lake Taupo to and along
the generally southern boundaries of Rangitoto Riding, as
described in Gazette, 1962, p. 1165, to the boundary of the
County of Taupo, as described in Gazette, 1968, p. 801; thence
southerly, westerly, and northerly along the said county
boundary to the point of commencement; excluding therefrom
Turangi Riding, hereinafter described.
