Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Paeroa Borough Council

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for plantation purposes; and, further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Paeroa, in trust, for that purpose.

Amendment to the Rules of the Stock Exchange Association of New Zealand

PURSUANT to section 11 of the Sharebrokers Act 1908, the Governor-General in Council, on 23 September 1968, approved the following amendment to the rules of the New Zealand Stock Exchange Association.


AMENDMENT TO RULES

Rule III:
That this rule be amended—
(a) as to paragraph (i) (d): by deleting “25 shares” and substituting “20 shares”.
(b) as to paragraph (i) (f): by deleting the paragraph and substituting—
“(f) Rights to new issues—
The number of rights equal in number to the marketable parcel of the corresponding shares (or other securities) as provided under subparagraphs (d) and (e) above, at the time the books close.
Any local committee shall have power to authorise a second quotation for rights on the basis of the number of rights arising from a marketable parcel of shares as provided under subparagraph (d) and (e) above but such second quotations and sales shall not be made available for publication.”
(c) as to paragraph (iii): by deleting all words after “first named”.
(d) as to paragraph (vi): by deleting the paragraph and substituting—
“(vi) Notwithstanding the provisions of (iii) and (iv) above, where an odd lot broker has been appointed under odd lot regulations for the time being in force, any number of shares not amounting to a marketable parcel and any number of shares in excess of a marketable parcel or a multiple of a marketable parcel shall be dealt with in accordance with the terms of such regulations.”

Rule 137:
That rule 137 be amended by inserting after the word “shares” where it occurs in lines 4 and 5 of the rule, the words “or other securities”.

Maori Land Development Notice

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is vested in Her Majesty the Queen and is now subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953; and whereas it is desired to release that land from the provisions of the said Part XXIV:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows.


NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Maori Land Development Notice Whangarei 1968, No. 3.
  2. The land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.
