of the taking of the said land; and whereas the Minister of Works has agreed to grant to the said John Ralph Muir a right of way over all that piece of land containing 11 perches, being part Kaiwaka A. 2 Block, situated in Block V, One-where Survey District, shown coloured orange, hatched orange, on plan M.O.W. 22036 (S.O. 45114); and whereas the said John Ralph Muir has agreed to accept such grant or right of way in part satisfaction of the said compensation: now, therefore, the Minister of Works hereby gives notice, pursuant to section 97 of the Public Works Act 1928, that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.

Christchurch City Council—Notice of Approval of Bylaws


PURSUANT to sections 8A and 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby gives notice that he approves the Christchurch City Bylaw No. 50, adopted by Christchurch City Council at a special meeting held on the 16th day of September 1968.

Lake Forsyth—Declaring an Area for Use by Speedboats and Water Skiers—Wairewa County Council


PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, the Minister of Marine hereby declares that, for a period of 5 years from the date hereof, subject to compliance with the conditions set out in the Second Schedule hereto, the area described in the First Schedule hereto shall not be subject to regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962.


FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area of water of Lake Forsyth westward of a line drawn from the easternmost point of Birdlings Flat in a 149° true direction to the opposite shore, and northward of a line drawn in a 266° true direction from Trig. B, Block VIII, Ellesmere Survey District.


SECOND SCHEDULE

At each end of the boundary lines mentioned in the First Schedule hereto there shall be placed a notice board, measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft, painted white with black letters.

The aforesaid notice boards shall contain the following notice and shall show the area described in the First Schedule in the form of a map:

“NOTICE
MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1962
No speed restrictions for motor launches and water skiers within the area marked by notice boards.”

In addition the notice boards shall be marked
“Eastern Limit of Area”
and “Southern Limit of Area”
as appropriate.

The Motor Launch (Lake Lyndon) Notice 1968—Malvern County Council


PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, the Minister of Marine hereby gives the following notice:

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Lake Lyndon) Notice 1968.

(b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

  1. Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 shall not apply with respect to the area described in the First Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area of water in Lake Lyndon within the following boundaries:

(a) North-eastward of a line drawn in a 328° true direction, running from the south-eastern boundary to the north-western boundary of the lake, commencing at the rocky point where the road to Coleridge turns sharp left at the bluff at the south end of the lake:

(b) South-Westward of a line drawn in a 328° true direction, running from the south-eastern boundary to the north-western boundary of the lake, commencing at a shingle point approximately half-a-mile north-eastward of the rocky point where the road to Coleridge turns sharp left at the Bluff at the south end of the lake.


SECOND SCHEDULE

  1. At each launching place, and positioned at normal lake level, and at each end of the boundaries in the area defined in the First Schedule hereto, there shall be placed a notice board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft., painted bright orange, with black lettering in the following form:

“NOTICE
MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1962
There is a speed restriction for motor launches and water skiers for half-a-mile north-eastward of the rocky point where the road to Coleridge turns in to Lake Lyndon, as shown marked in solid green on the plan.
Bathers Keep Out”

  1. A plan of Lake Lyndon shall be displayed in the lower portion of the above notices, showing the area described in the First Schedule hereto marked in solid green.

The Motor Launch (Tata Bay) Notice 1968—Golden Bay County Council


PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, the Minister of Marine hereby gives the following notice:

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Tata Bay) Notice 1968.

(b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette, and shall remain in force for a period of 5 years after that date.

  1. Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 shall not apply to the area described in the First Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area of water in Tata Bay bounded on the sides by parallel lines 150 yd apart, extending on a bearing of 306° true direction 200 yd from the edge of the water, the north-western boundary being 50 yd north-easterly from the Tara-kohe Sea Angler’s ramp.


SECOND SCHEDULE

THE access lane shall be marked as follows:

  1. Two 8-ft transit posts with a distance of not less than 10 ft or more than 20 ft between, and painted with 12-in. bright orange and black bands, shall be erected on land in line with each side of the access lane, the first post being sited on high-water mark.

  2. On each of the transit posts sited on high-water mark there shall be fastened, in line with the sides of the access lane, a notice board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft, painted bright orange, with black lettering in the following form:

“NOTICE
MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1962
Access lane through which motor launches and water skiers may pass at speeds greater than 5 miles per hour.
Bathers Keep Out”

  1. Marker buoys, either barrel, drum, or spherical shaped, painted bright orange with a vertical black stripe, shall be moored 50 yd apart and in line with each set of transit posts, the first buoy being 50 yd from the water’s edge.

Licensing Trustees for Helensville Fishermen’s Association to Occupy Site for a Jetty in Kaipara River at Helensville


PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licences and permits Peter Francis Omaras, Bruce Clarence Davidson, Reginald Charles Johnson, Francis George Williams, and Charles William James Forsyth acting as trustees for Helensville Fishermen’s Association for the purpose of this licence (hereinafter called the licensees, which term shall include their administrators, executors, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the Kaipara River at Helensville, as shown on the plan marked M.D.
