WAikATO COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO STOP ROAD

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, public notice is hereby given that the Waikato County Council proposes under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 to take for road the portions of land described in the Schedule hereto. A plan of the portions of land proposed to be taken is open for public inspection at the office of the Waikato County Council, Grey Street, Hamilton East, during 40 days from the first publication of this notice. All persons objecting to the proposal must lodge their objections in writing at the office of the Council on or before the 13th day of March 1968.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Auckland City Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act to execute a certain public work, namely, drainage works in the City of Auckland, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Planning Office, Civic Administration Building, Auckland, and is open for public inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

Every person affected who wishes to make any objection to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of the said land (not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation) must state his objection in writing and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, Civic Administration Building, Auckland.

If any objection is made a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

ALL that piece of land containing 1 rood 8.8 perches, more or less, situated in the City of Auckland, being part of Lot 18, Deposited Plan 11224, being part of Allotment 2, Parish of Titirangi, being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 1561, folio 71, North Auckland Land Registry, as the same is approximately shown on a plan lodged in the Town Planning Office, Civic Administration Building, Auckland, under No. A2732/2, and thereon coloured yellow and situated in Patiki Street, Avondale.

THAMES BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Thames Borough Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work, namely, to construct and lay out a service lane in the block bounded by Pollen, Sealey, Mackay, and Richmond Streets, in the Borough of Thames, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council situate in Mary Street, Thames, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Mary Street, Thames.

WAITAKI CATCHMENT COMMISSION

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Staff Housing Loan, 1967—$36,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities’ Loans Act 1956, the Waitaki Catchment Commission hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $36,000, authorised to be raised by the Waitaki Catchment Commission under the above-mentioned Act for providing houses and subsidiary buildings for the Commission’s employees at Kurow and Tekapo, the said Waitaki Catchment Commission hereby makes a special rate of 0.0001287c in $ upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property of the Waitaki Catchment District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

That the repayment of the loan be made by way of rental supplemented by a subsidy and that ratepayers be informed that under normal conditions the security rate will not be collected.

I hereby certify that the above resolutions were duly passed at a meeting of the Waitaki Catchment Commission held on 12 December 1967.

HUNTLY BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Huntly Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan of $30,000, authorised to be raised by the Huntly Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of extending and improving the Borough Water Supply, the said Huntly Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one cent in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Huntly; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
