comprising the whole of the said city; and such special rate
shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of
such loan, and be repayable half-yearly on the 15th day of
August in each and every year during the currency of the
loan, being a period of 10 years or until such loan is paid
off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed
by the Nelson City Council at a meeting held at the City
Council Chambers, Trafalgar Street, Nelson, on the 12th day
of September 1968.

PAPARUA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioner Cottage Loan No. 3, 1968

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Paparua
County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of $41,700, to be known as the Pensioner
Cottage Loan No. 3, 1968 authorised to be raised by the
Paparua County Council under the above-mentioned Act
for the purpose of financing the Council’s share of the cost
of constructing pensioners’ cottages at Hornby, the said
Paparua County Council hereby makes a special rate of
0.0033013 cents in the dollar upon the capital value of all
rateable property in the Paparua County; and that the special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in
each and every year during the currency of the said loan
being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

under Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, of
Land in the Southland Catchment District

NOTICE is hereby given that the land in the part of the South-
land Catchment District described in the Schedule hereto
has been classified under the Soil Conservation and Rivers
Control Act 1941, and the classification is deemed a valid
classification as from the date on which this notice is first
published, namely, 16 September 1968.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL

AN ACT TO AMEND THE PROVISIONS OF THE AUCKLAND GAS
COMPANY’S ACT 1871

NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland Gas Co. Ltd.
(hereinafter called “the company”) intends to apply for leave
to bring into the House of Representatives, during the present
session of Parliament, a Private Bill, the short title of which
is the Auckland Gas Company Amendment Act 1968.

The objects of the proposed Bill are to extend the limits
of the principal Act, now extending to and including the City
of Auckland and such parts of the suburbs and vicinity
thereof as lie within a radius of 12½ miles from a centre at
the Post Office, Jean Batten Place, Auckland, so as to include
also the whole of the area now comprising the local districts
of the City of Manukau, the Counties of Waitemata and
Franklin, and the Boroughs of Helensville, Papakura, Waiuku,
Pukekohe, and Tuakau.

The Bill is promoted by the company, whose address, to
which communications or notices may be sent, is at the offices
of Messrs Buddle, Weir, and Co., Solicitors, Sixth Floor,
Guardian Assurance Building, corner of Queen Street and
Darby Street, Auckland 1.

A copy of the proposed Bill may be inspected at the above-
mentioned address.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL

THE SLACK ADOPTION ACT

NOTICE is hereby given that Roger John Galilee, of Kaikohe,
farmers, intends to apply for leave to bring in a Bill entitled
“An Act to give to an interim order of adoption made on
the fourth day of November, nineteen hundred and sixty-five
in favour of Terence Richard Slack and Margaret Ann Slack
as adopting parents of Michael William Slack force and effect
as if it had been a final order of adoption made on the same
day”, the object of which is to declare that the interim order
of adoption made by the Magistrates Court at Kaikohe on
the 4th day of November 1965, on the application of Terence
Richard Slack (since deceased) and Margaret Ann Slack to
adopt Michael William Slack shall operate and for all pur-
poses be deemed always to have operated as a final order of
adoption.

A copy of the Bill may be inspected at the offices of
Messrs Graham and Reed, Solicitors, Goodbehere Street,
Feilding, to which communications or notices to the promoter
may be sent.

STATUTORY REGULATIONS

Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of
general legislative force are no longer published in the New
Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of
the following arrangements:

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing)
subscription $6 per calendar year in advance.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram,
$5 per volume. (Volumes for years 1936-37 and
1939-42 are out of print.)

(3) Separate regulations as issued.

The price of each regulation is printed thereon.
