COUNTY OF HOROWHENUA

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Counties Act 1956, the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, and the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Horowhenua County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts and all other Acts and powers thereunto enabling, to execute a certain public work, namely, sewerage treatment; and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. A plan of the said lands to be taken is open for inspection at the offices of the Horowhenua County Council, Bath Street, Levin. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands must state their objections, in writing, and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Horowhenua County Council Offices, Bath Street, Levin. If any objection is made, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of hearing.

SCHEDULE

The land required to be taken comprises an area of 37 acres 1 rood 31 perches, being Lot No. 4 on the plan of subdivision prepared by Messrs Truebridge Associates, dated July 1968, together with the right of way from the aforesaid land to Te Ngarara Road as shown on the said plan and therein coloured blue; the said land being situated in the south-western area of the parcel of land owned by Donald James Cottle, of Te Horo, farmer, which land comprises the total of 207 acres 2 roods 29 perches, more or less, and is situated in Block V of the Kaitawa Survey District, being part Sections 1A, 1B 2 and 1B 3, Kukutaueki Block, and part Sections 36, 38, and 77A, Ngarara West A., and being also Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 21514, and being land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 881, folio 35, Wellington Registry, the said land of Donald James Cottle being situated on the Te Ngarara Road, Waikanae, in the County of Horowhenua.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO STOP PORTIONS OF ROAD

Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a road, and for the purposes of that public work the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto are required to be stopped. And further notice is hereby given that a plan of the portion of road required to be stopped is deposited in the office of the Tauranga County Council, Barke's Corner, Cameron Road, Tauranga, and is there open for inspection, that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the stopping of the said portions of road, should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or the stopping of the said portions of road, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send the written objection within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Tauranga County Council at Tauranga, and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the Council meeting at which the hearing will be held.

ADVERTISEMENT OF CANCELLATION

Notice is hereby given that the Deputy Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 9th day of September 1968, cancelled the registry of St. Dominic's Branch, No. 6, a branch of the New Zealand District of the Hibernian-Australasian Catholic Benefit Society (Register No. 198/92), held at Dunedin, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL

Orewa Town Hall and Community Centre Loan

Pursuant to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Wainui Riding taken on the 31st day of August 1968, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $76,000 to be known as the Orewa Town Hall and Community Centre Loan for the purpose of erecting Stage I of the Orewa Town Hall, resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 198 The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 277 The number of informal votes was 6

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

GREY COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL

Pursuant to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Moana special rating area, taken on the 31st day of August 1968, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $38,000, to be known as the Moana Sewerage Loan 1968, for the purpose of providing sanitary works for the collection and disposal of sewage and domestic waste at Moana, resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 37 The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 7 The number of informal votes was nil

I therefore declare the proposal was carried.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL

THE OTAGO FOUNDATION TRUST BOARD AMENDMENT ACT 1968

Notice is hereby given that the Otago Presbyterian Church Board of Property proposes to apply for leave to bring into the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled during its present session a Private Bill, the objects of which are to change the Board's name to the Otago Foundation Trust Board, to empower the Board to sell further lands, and to vary the powers of the Board to lease any of the lands or buildings vested in it or any parts thereof, to extend the powers of the Board to invest in the purchase of freehold lands and buildings and improvements on freehold land by removing the present restriction that such land must be in the Provincial District of Otago.

The promoter of this Private Bill is the Otago Presbyterian Church Board of Property.
