that there is now no one in New Zealand with authority to take possession of and administer the said property: and whereas the gross value of the said property (as estimated by the Public Trustee) does not exceed $4,000 and, for the purposes of subsection (2) of section 80 of the Public Trust Office Act 1957, the Public Trustee is satisfied that it is advisable that he should become the manager of the said property; now, therefore, the Public Trustee, in exercise of the authority conferred upon him by the said subsection (2), hereby elects to be manager of the said property, under Part V of the said Act.

Special Order Made by Whangarei County Council Altering Riding Boundaries

PURSUANT to section 88 of the Counties Act 1956, I hereby publish the following special order made by the Whangarei County Council.

SPECIAL ORDER

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 23 of the Counties Act 1956, the Whangarei County Council, at a special meeting of the said Council held on Friday, the 11th day of April 1968 (of which due notice was given), resolved, by way of special order, as follows:

(i) That the Waipu Riding be divided into two ridings along the line separating the Ruakaka and Waipu Parishes, from the riding boundary on the west to the sea on the east, being the southern boundaries of the Ruurangi, Mangapai, and Ruakaka Parishes.

(ii) That the northern portion be called the Kuakaka Riding.

(iii) That the southern portion be called the Waipu Riding.

(iv) That the electors of the Waipu Riding and the Ruakaka Riding shall each elect one councillor.

(v) The alteration hereby made shall take effect at the general election of councillors to be held in the month of October 1968, except in so far and to such extent as may be necessary for preparing any roll or otherwise providing for that election.

RUAKAKA RIDING

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Whangarei County, bounded by a line commencing at the junction of the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 10, Mata Parish (Whangarei Harbour Board Endowment, New Zealand Statutes, 1895, p. 267), with the right bank of Skull Creek in Block I, Ruakaka Survey District, and proceeding northeasterly generally along the said right bank to and easterly generally along the generally southern shores of the Whangarei Harbour and southerly along the shores of Bream Bay to a point in line with the northern boundary of Allotment 31, Waipu Parish, in Block XIV, Ruakaka Survey District; thence easterly along a right line to and along that boundary and northerly generally along the western boundaries of part Allotment 92, Ruakaka Parish, to and easterly along the northern boundaries of Allotments 9 and 28, Waipu Parish, along a right line across State Highway No. 1 to and continuing easterly and then southerly along the northern and western boundaries of Allotment 29, Waipu Parish, to the northern side of Alisons Road; thence southerly along a right line crossing that road to and along the eastern boundary of Allotment 81, Ruakaka Parish, to and north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of that allotment and of Allotment 144, part Allotment 59, and Allotments S.W. 58 and 75,
