Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block II, Waikouaiti Survey District, for Road and for the Purposes of a Road
Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the reconstruction and realignment of Awanui-Bluff State Highway No. 1 (Evansdale-Merton section: Kilmog deviation) and for the purposes of that public work the land first, secondly, and thirdly described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for road, and the land fourthly described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for the purposes of a road; and notice is further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Waitati and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send the written objection, within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

Waitara RiverβDeclaring Area Exempt from Portions of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962
Pursuant to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, the Minister of Marine hereby declares that, for a period of 2 years from the date hereof, regulation 11 of the Motor Launch Regulations shall not apply to jet boats operating on the area of water described in the Schedule hereto, provided that:
-
A speed of 5 miles per hour is not exceeded when passing within 100ft of any vessel under way or moored, or any gravel-winning machinery, or any person bathing or fishing, unless, for reasons of safety due to water depth or current, it would be dangerous not to exceed that speed; and
-
A power boat travelling down stream has the right of way on a rapid, and a power boat proceeding up stream shall give way.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of water of the Waitara River from the Waitara Bridge upstream to the confluence of the Mangaone Stream.

Licensing Leonard William Roland Broomhall to Occupy a Site for a Jetty in Riverton Harbour
Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Leonard William Roland Broomhall (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his administrators, executors, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of Riverton Harbour, as shown on plan marked M.D. 13055 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a jetty, as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS
(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
(2) The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of August 1968.
(3) The premium payable by the licensee shall be 10 dollars ($10) and the annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be 12 dollars ($12).

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Kawau Island Yacht Club Incorporated (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its administrators, successors, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the sea in Bon Accord Harbour, Kawau Island, as shown on plan marked M.D. 9778 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a jetty as shown on the said plan; such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
