Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block XII, Tapapa Survey District, Matamata County, for Road

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a road and for the purposes of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Matamata and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send the written objection within 40 days of the first publication of this notice to the Minister of Works at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and the place of the hearing.

Amending Notice in Part Proclaiming Land as Road and Road Closed in Blocks IX and X, Whangaehu Survey District, Rangitikei County

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby amends the notice dated 28 July 1967, published in Gazette, 7 September 1967, No. 56, page 1520, and registered in the Land Registry Office at Wellington as No. 721956, by omitting therefrom the words: “and the road thirdly described in the said Second Schedule, when closed, shall vest in Peter Alfred Chapman, of Wanganui, farmer”; and substituting the words: “and the road thirdly described in the said Second Schedule, when closed, shall vest in Donald Peter Chapman, of Wanganui, farmer, subject to memoranda of mortgage Nos. 710412 and 710413, Wellington Land Registry.”

Licensing Melville John Lynch and Alan Leslie Grant to Occupy a Site for a Slipway at Orongo Bay, Bay of Islands

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Melville John Lynch and Alan Leslie Grant (hereinafter called the licensees, which term shall include their administrators, executors, or assigns unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the sea at Orongo Bay, Bay of Islands, as shown on plan marked M.D. 12747 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a slipway as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensees upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS
(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960 and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
(2) The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of February 1968.
(3) The premium payable by the licensees shall be ten dollars ($10) and the annual sum so payable by the licensees shall be twenty dollars ($20).

The Traffic (Taupo Borough) Notice 1968

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Taupo Borough) Notice 1968.
  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

SITUATED within Taupo Borough at Nukuhau:
No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from the northern boundary of Taupo Borough to the southern side of the bridge across the Waikato River).
Acacia Bay Road (from Kaihua Road to the south-western boundary of Taupo Borough).

John Harvey Street.
Kaihua Road (from John Harvey Street to the northern boundary of Taupo Borough).

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964*, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 16 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provisions shall apply:

A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964* to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a Class I vehicle in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a Class I Vehicle for any other purpose.
