ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Hamner Pest Destruction District Order 1968.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
- The boundaries of the Hamner Pest Destruction District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 14th day of September 1949,* are hereby altered and redefined, and as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the County of Amuri, Canterbury Land District, containing 393,500 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at Lewis Pass on the summit of the Spenser Mountains and proceeding north-easterly generally along the summit of the Spenser Mountains to an unnamed peak marked 6059' in Block II, Humboldt Survey District; thence south-easterly along a right line through trig M.O., Block IV, Maling Survey District, to the shore of Lake Tennyson; thence southerly generally and easterly along the western shore of that lake to and along the middle of the Clarence River to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Run 279 (The Hossack); thence south-westerly and westerly generally along the south-eastern and southern boundaries of that run to the left bank of the Hamner River; thence westerly generally along that bank to the confluence of the Hamner and Waiau Rivers; thence due west to the middle of the Waiau River; thence westerly and northerly generally along the middle of the Waiau, Hope, Boyle, and Lewis Rivers to Lewis Pass, the point of commencement.

Land Exempted from the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

PURSUANT to section 167 of the Coal Mines Act 1925, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby exempt the land described in the Schedule hereto from the operations of Part III of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land containing 1 rood, more or less, being Section 19, Block XIV, Town of Invercargill; as the same is more particularly delineated on Survey Office Plan No. 5613 (Southland).
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 8th day of July 1968.

Appointment of a Member of the Timber Preservation Authority
PURSUANT to the Timber Preservation Regulations 1955, the Minister of Industries and Commerce hereby reappoints Clifford Lyle Bishop (nominated by the Municipal Association of New Zealand Incorporated) to be a member of the Timber Preservation Authority.
