NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the New Plymouth City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to be known as the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery Loan 1968, authorised to be raised by the New Plymouth City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of altering, repairing, renovating, and making additions to its premises in Queen Street, New Plymouth, for the establishment of an art gallery, the New Plymouth City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one six cents (.016c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of New Plymouth; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the New Plymouth City Council held on the 2nd day of July 1968.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Wellington City Renewal Loan No. 2, 1968, of $139,000

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 1st day of July 1968:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one hundred and thirty-nine thousand dollars ($139,000) to be known as the Wellington City Renewal Loan No. 2, 1968, of $139,000, authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Water Services Loan 1949—$374,000, Aerodrome Development Loan No. 4, 1957—$1,000,000, and Electricity Loan No. 1, 1957—$500,000 which mature on 1 July and 1 August 1968, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one one cents (.011c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twelve (12) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAITAKI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of eighteen thousand dollars ($18,000) authorised to be raised by the Waitaki County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a water supply in the Moeraki Water Supply District, the said Waitaki County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 4.502c in the dollar upon the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property in the special-rating area comprising the Moeraki Water Supply District; and such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SOUTH CANTERBURY CATCHMENT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Workshop Loan 1968—$24,000

Copy of resolution passed by the Board on 12 June 1968.

The South Canterbury Catchment Board, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941 and amendments thereto, hereby resolves, by way of special order, as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the Workshop Loan of $24,000 under the above mentioned Acts, the South Canterbury Catchment Board hereby makes a rate of 0.00066 of a cent in the dollar upon the rateable property in the Board’s district; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.

BOROUGH OF MILTON

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

“THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and all other powers in that behalf enabling it, the Milton Borough Council hereby resolves that, for the purpose of repayment of the Pensioner Flats Loan 1967, $11,800, and interest thereon, the Council appropriates and pledges a special annually recurring rate of 0.106c in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Milton, comprising the whole of the Borough of Milton.”

NOTICE is hereby given that:

The land in the part of the Northland Catchment Area, draining to the Wairua River and its tributaries upstream of the Mangere Rapids, described in the Schedule to the New Zealand Gazette notice of Thursday, 2 February 1967, No. 4, p. 136, has been designated and assigned the distinguishing name of the “Hikurangi Swamp Special Rating Area”.
