Notice of Intention to Take Land for Road in Block VIII, Clyde Survey District, Wairoa County, Being Land Required for the Realignment of the Whakaki-Nuhaka Section of the Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne State Highway No. 2

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a road, and for the purposes of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Wairoa, and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing, and send the written objection within 40 days of the first publication of the notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington; and that if any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

Licensing Manapouri - Doubtful Sound Tourist Co. Ltd. to Occupy a Site for Two Jetties and a Slipway-ramp in the Waiau River at Pearl Harbour

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licences and permits the Manapouri-Doubtful Sound Tourist Co. Ltd. (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy parts of the bed of the Waiau River, at Pearl Harbour, as shown on plans marked M.D. 8989, Sheet 2, M.D. 9103, M.D. 10000, and M.D. 12810, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon two jetties and a slipway-ramp as shown on the said plans, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon, and subject to, the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960 and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

(2) The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of February 1969.

(3) The annual sum payable by the licensee shall be six dollars ($6).

(4) The licensee shall not be entitled to any compensation in respect of any loss arising from the alteration of the level of Lake Manapouri for hydro-electric purposes.
